Attached should be a zipped file with 5 files in it that contain the data on DOI gathered from the recent survey project on largely unresearched compounds.

This project consisted of posting 28 surveys for about 60 days at 6 different internet discussion boards. 25 of the surveys received at least one response in that time. There were a total of 701 responses to all of the surveys with 5-MeO-DPT receiving the fewest responses (2) and 2C-I receiving the most (123). 11 surveys received 25 or more responses and probably give a somewhat reliable overview of the compounds in question.
There are 3 different types of surveys. The Phenethylamines, the Tryptamines, and the DOB-DFLY survey. The phenethylamine and tryptamine surveys are almost identically with 2 exceptions; the tryptamine surveys have an additional item labeled x01 and a freeform response at the end. The DOB-DFLY survey has numerous additional sections etc. due to it being a later addition. Despite these differences, each subsection should allow for apples to apples comparisons. The only real difference in the data might be a slightly higher skip rate on section 5 with regard to the phenethylamines, though looking at the actual data the difference appears to be minimal if any.

What was looked at across all surveys was 1. What people thought of the compound overall, 2. What people thought about the general pleasurableness of the compound, 3. What people thought about the general stimulant/sedative tendencies of the compound, 4. What people reported in the way of ‘primary effects,’ 5. What people reported in the way of ‘side effects,’ and 6. The number of times people reported taking a given compound.

For items 1, 2, & 3 a ‘score’ can be worked out.

For the overall rating one can either calculate the % of persons that consider the compound ‘worthwhile’ by adding the number of persons reporting ‘B,’ ‘A,’ and ‘A+’ and dividing by the total number of persons answering that item; or one can calculate an ‘average rating’ by giving a score of 6 to every ‘A+,’ 5 to every ‘A,’ 4 to every ‘B,’ 3 to every ‘C,’ 2 to every ‘D,’ 1 to every ‘E,’ and 0 to every ‘F’ (the results then divided by the number of total respondents).

For the overall pleasure direction one simply assigns a weighted score to the responses according to the value to the left (i.e. +3, +2, +1, 0, -1, -2, -3) and divides by the total number of responses. A net positive score indicates a compound that is reportedly more positive and a net negative score indicates a compound that is reportedly more negative. A score close to or at 0 indicates a compound that is not very particularly prone one way or another with regard to pleasurable experiences (it could have no discernable ‘push’ or it could be equally prone toward pleasurable or disconcerting experiences).

The overall energy direction is calculated much the same as the overall pleasure direction, with the difference being that the results will show the overall tendency of the compound toward stimulation or sedation. If the net score is positive it indicates a trend toward stimulation, if the net score is negative it indicates a trend toward sedation. If the score is close to or at 0 it indicates that a compound is not particularly prone toward one direction or the other (this could mean neither stimulation nor sedation or it could indicate that people are more or less equally prone to the experience of either).

Compound specific discussion.

DOI is a compound in the DOx class that appears to have more recently begun to circulate. It is reportedly very powerful by weight and considerably long-lived. There were only about a dozen responses to this survey, so the data should be viewed with that in mind.

Looking at the data here, 69.2% of respondents considered the material ‘worthwhile.’

The overall average pleasure score is +1.54 or about midway between ‘Pleasant’ and ‘Very Upbeat.’

The respondents generally reported that this is a noticeably stimulating compound with a stimulation score of +1.92 or about equal to ‘Moderately’ stimulating.

The most commonly reported side-effect for this compound was nausea/upset stomach, with 55.6% of those responding noting it. 0% of respondents reported vomiting though.

Unlike most other compounds surveyed, the most frequently reported number of uses was 1 time (53.8%).

SWIM thought the duration of effect was long like other DOx compounds. 7 hours to baseline ?

actually swim was at hour 7 of the first experiment at that time. it was quite long lived and a subsequent redosing resulted in about a 2 day experience altogether with no negative aspects worth mentioning

Bongo noted a wave-like action from DOI. Well after the main effects had subsided, it would build again and pull Bongo back into the experience. All told it lasted about 20 hours - but much of this was the wave-action rather than full-on.

Bongo rather enjoyed it, but did a small amount of 2mg.

Swim had the trip of his life yesterday with less than 3mg of DOI. He ate it around 1pm and didn't feel anything untill 5:30pm, when he was abrubtly thrown into a horrific trip. His heart started beating extremely fast, and thought he would have a heart attack. He stayed up ALL night tripping. It was truly a scary experience that he will never do again.

Someone I know has ordered DOI pressed in 5 mg tabblets.
If he hasn't been ripped off, it will soon arrive at his home.
But isn't 5 mg a large dose for one tabblet?
In most of the trip reports something between 1.5 and 3 mg is used.

Is there any kind of reasonable threshold dose with this substance, which would give SWIM a somewhat shorter duration but still noticeable effects? If 2mg resulted in a 20h trip, would splitting one of those 5mg tablets (actually, they are 4.5-5.5mg because of the lousy pressing, among other lousy things that this source does) in four parts result in doses that certainly would NOT launch SWIM into a full-blown 20h trip? The mentions about the nausea sound particulary horrific to SWIM, so he would like to start low. But not too low, since that is a waste of SWIM's time and resources.

i would worry about any source that presses tablets of DOI or any tablets of an "undetermined" dosage.

What is the lowest dosage that you can feel from DOI ?
SWM Just got a sample, and wanna check if it is what it should be, but don't have the time, for a real trip dosage(4mg)

SWIM is planning on taking some DOI at the summer solstice this year at Stone Henge. He was wondering what sort of time to take it if he wants to be peaking for the sunrise around 4:45am. He hasn't decided on the dose yet, he has 10mg in 10ml of water. SWIM wants a nice and intense experience. He has lots of experience with large doses of lsd and other RCs (2CB, 2CE, 2CT2, 5-MeO-DiPT and 5-MeO-AMT). So SWIM will probably go for 4 or 5mg unless anyone thinks that is a bad idea. He will be taking some 2CE with him as well to ramp up the visuals if it isn't visual enough.
