Does anyone know the threshold for a hair test? SWIM has smoked marijuana once, a single hit in the past month. Before that, he hadn't smoked for six months. He has heard that the threshold for marijuana on a hair test is a little high, and allows for this sort of thing. Additionally, are you sure Aloe Rid is only sold at salons, will that sort of treatment be necessary in order for a negative result?

I might have to try this stuff soon (as soon as I can afford it) because my job randoms every month (10% of the employees get selected by a computer). I've decided to quit smoking just because it's not worth it to lose this job with the way the economy is going and the benefits are great and I just really like what I'm doing. I'm just worried that the smoking I've done up until this point will show up. Maybe I won't get selected for the first 3 months and then by that time my hair will be clean anyways.

It's so expensive, though :'( I just can't fit that into my budget currently so lets just pray that I have time to get clean

In case anyone was still curious about this (I know it's an old original post):

Hair tests typically require about 1.5 inches of hair length, in a clump about as thick as a pencil. It's not like they pluck one hair at random. Single follicle tests aren't used. It's also not like they can use a centimeter-length patch of hair...

Why does this matter? It eliminates the concern for removing body hairs (unless they're longer than 1.5 inches - gross!). Furthermore, it opens up the possibility of simply getting a SHORT haircut - as opposed to an all-out head shave. If you're a girl, don't fret! Demi Moore pulled off the "high n' tight" look pretty well.

Finally, I don't see how a really heavy industrial-grade bleaching job can't at least help the chance of passing. The more legal chemical interactions that have passed through and on your hair, the less likely those illegal residuals will show up. That's my thought, anyway.
