deja vu

does anyone else get deja while rolling? it's almost like u can already guess what's going to happen the instant that it does because you're almost positive that it JUST HAPPENED not but two seconds ago... anyone get that feeling? --->

like in that movie the matrix, u see a cat cross your path, not thinking anything of it, u just keep looking in the same direction and see the exact same cat pass the doorway

it's like some kind of sub-conscioius behavior not yet registered within the brain once you see it, but then gets relayed to the brain just seconds later and u can hear/see it as a hallucination..

anyone know what i'm talking about? -- or is this just too deep?

Not while rolling, but once I experienced such feeling while on 5-meo-mipt (approx. 17mg). The setting was a live drum'n'bass show. It was so strange... I couldn't anticipate what will occur, but I was obsessed by the impression of knowing several people in this place. "I know this guy, I know his face, but from where ??" "I know the waitress, and the dj too. Where do this people fu**ing come from ???" "I know this tune, where did I hear it ? On which CD ?? Oh god!".

A very strange feeling indeed....

The "deja-vu" reaction on MDMA, and other M drugs, is well know. It is from taking an overdose of them. A toxic effect. Lowering the dose/tolerance will help get rid of it. One can glorify it as being in some kind of time-travel experience if one is so inclined (seen that excuse before), but it is mental confusion brought about by taking too much and/or too often.

Warn your monkey. Being the next level of a "spiritual onesness" is next - otherwise known as an e-tard. Chill the Monkey.

@nagognog2

Is such phenomenon while on tryptamines to understand as a toxic side-effect too ?

I've never heard of this happening with indoles. Only M-class amphetamines.

hmm, so it's an overdose reaction? -- that's odd
- i mean, yea he's gone over the edge a couple times but the deja vu sequences don't seem to only happen in those instances.. it happens to him EVERYTIME... whether it be one tab, or three..

do u have any sources? i'd like to read up on that

Only anecdotal from people I've known over the years (30+) who have used MXXX to excess. Mostly as pure crystal - which rules out this effect being from a cut like meth. If your monkey experiences this every time, your monk may be highly sensitive/allergic to M. Some animals are through no fault of their own.

SWIM once was in a akward situation, where SWIM would be left without a home if nothing happened quick. Although SWIM has a deep trust in life, SWIM was getting a tad worried. Then SWIM had a weird dream: SWIM was rolling hard (happened a lot in dreams those days) and wondering around a weird place, with many fountains inside. SWIM woke up weirded out. Fountains? WTF? Could find no freudian or jungian meaning to that, which would bring logic. Well, SWIM noted it down in dream log and did not bother my internal cpu with it again.
6 Months later (and one house later) SWIM had been lucky enough to be asked to babysit a rather large and old building (former school) for a couple of years. Free of charge off course. So what the hell does SWIM do then? Yes, party time! At one point SWIM and friends found it was time to start rolling through the building and enjoy the spooky atmosphere. SWIM opened up a wing, SWIM at not scouted before. Ghosting around there SWIM looked for the lights, turned it on and got an uber Deja-Vu: SWIM was right in the middle of the fucking fountains. SWIM was weirded out for several days.
And SWIM used to roll much to hard in those days, so toxicity may have been present, but the fountains outlived the roll, so they where real. Don't ask me how. I don't know. SWIM got used to the fountains over the next years.

I refer to those class of dreams as Early Warning Dreams. Often they are to prepare you for an emergency situation that will likely arise in the next 72 hours (I've clocked these from both myself and others). Freaked the living crap out of a certain friend of mine who was describing a dream he had the night before about being in a car accident - as we were driving down the highway. I explained that this dream was likely a warning to watch out. He told me, as he always used to, that I was full of shit and that dreams can't foretell the future. I told him that he really shouldn't have said that. No sooner did I say that to him than a car in another lane spun out on a patch of ice and crashed right into his driver's side door. I wish I had a camera with me for the expression on his face. No one was hurt in the accident.

But having a EWD about a room full of fountains? I would theorize that one had taken so much MDMA that it managed to jostle this internal function loose in an inappropriate way - as the fountains were not dangerous to the person. I've seen similar happen with people and the M drugs before. It is usually rather disconcerting to the partipant. Best thing to do with this sort of experience is to simply take it for granted that this sort of thing can happen. That MIGHT allow that channel to open up more frequently for further research. If one wanted to explore this level of the human unconscious.

No one can say with certainty how this type of phenomena occurs - what sort of electro-chemical forces are at play (if any). Little real research has been done. Probably for two reasons: It tends to spook the person out. And people are afraid to report these events for fear of being considered a nut!

that's crazy man..
i don't know, what i'm thinkin, is that the effects mdx has on the brain, enables us to a 'higher consciousness', not like an lsd 'higher consciousness', but a consciousness that allows us to not only establish a form of introspection, but to be more in-tuned, in-tuned to an understanding that would be far too complicated and complex to be understood when sober.. so when you are sober, tangible thoughts like these don't seem to have any kind of effect because of their complexicity.. but, once u are brought about the same awareness through mdx 'higher consciousness', thoughts and emotions are brought back and in alfa's instance, brought back but interpreted within the circumstance ur monk was placed in

^ that's just my theory of what happened to u (i'm a deep thinker)

if that isn't what happened i don't know what the f'ck did..

daag, no0b, you are such a deep thinker and philosophist, my mind simply boggles in wonderment.

have you, being a deep thinker, considered the notion that these 'complex tangible thoughts' dont make since to you when you are sober cause, you know, you are abit slow? ;-)

Nagognog that's a pretty tripped out story too.. it's crazy how our minds play tricks like that with us.. i don't know. i'm not the type to give in to supersticious stuff like psychics and what-not, but sometimes i wonder if we actually are capable of that sixth sense... maybe we all have it, just to a certain degree

nah i don't think i'm 'slow' ha, i mean just think about it.. alfa says he experienced something to what is thought to be either one, a huge coincidence, or two, an interpretation of past thoughts and emotions
-- for example.. say u have to take a memory test, and you're given a number of subjects to study... a couple hours go by since the last time u saw the test and you are asked what u remember seeing... after a period of time, the brain can only contain a selected group of material, meaning, if you remember seeing a short dog with long hair, and asked if you saw a long dog with short hair, you'd probably agree that that was what u saw because yea u remember seeing a dog with hair/fur, but over time it lies within interpretation.. know what i mean jellybean?

^yyeh, that's kinda like when your brain gets full and no more information will fit, so you have to unthink some thoughts to make space.

seriously, once higher cognitive states have been accessed, it is possible to train oneself to enter such at will, without the aid of chemical catalysts. my eventual goal.

It's like being brought back to the peak of the finest sexual experience of your life. The beautifully orchestrated mesh of mental and physical euphoria in where your ego is non-existant, and your very soul has been released into the area surrounding you.
