Acacia Obtusifolia is probably the most cold-hardy leaf source of DMT available. It is a tree that can take frosts and occasional light snow. Fresh undried top leaves have been measured to have a DMT concentration of 0.07%, with dried lower leaves probably having around twice that concentration. The dried bark has a DMT concentration of around 0.35%. However, since the bark doesn't grow back, only branch bark should be harvested to avoid harming the plant. Both the bark and dried leaf may be extracted for DMT, however, a defatting step must be used prior to basification to get pure white crystalline DMT, with a tannin removal step after the nonpolar extraction also recommended. Although a bit fragile as a sapling, the mature tree offers a treasure trove of discreetly harvestable DMT-laden leaves...
