Noob to Hash making

anyone ever try the blender method for making hash? any comments on it? anyone have an easy way to press your hash? only way i've found involved like cardboard and an oven and wet newspaper, seemed like alot of work... since it finishes as a powder (from what i've heard) before you press it can you just leave it as a powder or is it especially better to press it?
