Smell: Discreet smoking methods

watching my friend smoke a joint with all the curtains in his house open and the windows closed and was wondering.. do you think the smell can still travel outside? seeing people go about their business thru the window, cant help but wonder if any of them smell the weed. Can the neibhors, or does the smell remain in the privacy of his house

Not too sure about that. I would think that the smell would stay inside if the windows were shut. If they were open then for sure the people outside could smell it. I hate passing people and smelling weed. Makes me jealous when I dont have some on me. I luv the smell haha.

agree with leadcenobite though, i hate it when i smell weed in public! even the fainest hint of a smell (ie somebody near me who had a spliff before going out) and it gets me looking around to see where it is...

my friend and i smoke outside and the smell doesnt seem that bad, actually it goes away pretty damn fast. i remember when we were like 8 we tried smokin teas ... i remember the smoke smell stayed on our clothes literally for DAYS and the smell of weed doesnt seem to stay around like that.i dont think ppl can smell it unless the weed ur smokin is HELLA POTENT

When I rolled up to my boys apparment one time, I could smell the weed smoke through his door, it was strong as hell too, I think thats how normally 5 0's get called, just gotta hope noone smells that buddah

Dudes, me and my friend smoke on the way to town on a really busy
street with houses on either side and people walking their dogs right
passed us , lol, I dont even care what people think though, most people
driving by just probably think it's a cigarette, and the people and
their dogs, well, i dont like dogs anyways so f**K them...what r they
going to do, run home and call the cops "911! there was some kids
smoking some marijuana on the road! OH NO!" But I dont think you
have to worry about the smell very much, it just drifts away once
outside...and it getting through windows and everything is highly

Sometimes weed smoke will travel out of apartments from the door that
leads to outside or the hallway. A towel can easily solve this problem,
even though it rarely happens.

its still weird i hate his house. lots of famlies with children. people walking dogs all the time, and there he is with his windows all open, all of it visable through the smoky room, cant help but wonder things like that.

how far is the sidewalk, other houses, other yards, etc...from his
windows? If they are really close I might be worried but if they start
peeking in your windows, call them perverts and threaten to call the
cops on them. I think the smeel accumilating in the house would be more
of a problem. Is it an apartment, cause then I could see cause for
concern. Do this if you are so worried about smoke and smell, smoke in
the bathroom (its got the shower and the fan) or burn a lot of incense.

ahahaha shit, when i was younger i tried many many ways to hide the
smell after i toke up in my room, one way i figured out is this...





you get a cardboard toilet paper roll , or a paper towel roll

then , you stuff a couple fabric softener sheets , you know.. the
little sheets you put in the dryer with clothes, they smell like
flowers , and make your clothes smell good.. but anyways.. you take a
toke , hold it in for a few seconds.. then you blow it in the tube, the
smoke smells like flowers !

If my parents rnt home for a few hours i was thinking about smokin a j, but i was worrying it might smell up the whole house if i close the door and open the window will that get the smell out? i can also light insense too to cover it up.

It depends on how you smoke. If you roll thin joints, and inhale the
smoke coming off the tip after ever hit, it will let less smoke into
the air. You should also consider how easily your parents would
recognize the odor of burning pot.

make one of those chill tubes or whatever they are called. Get an
empty toilet paper roll, fill it with those things you put in a dryer,
blow your smoke through that. I reccomend smoking out of a pipe,
and cap it with your thumb after every hit. You should be
alright.

Well, i think if your parents have a decently keen nose then you are almost shut down already. As for the smell, with my own experiments with smoking in my room, i found it best to take a fan stick it in the window blowing outside and blow the smoke out that and also hold the Joint right there. This will keep the smell blowing far enough out that it wont come back through the window.

Also stick a towel or something under your door, like roll it up so that no air goes out of your room. It could easily be done, that u smoke while they are gone, but i'd wait for like 4ish hours to be alone so that way u have a chance.


Also if u wanted throw in a batch of brownies or something in the oven to cook so your house smells like that.

If you want to smoke but u dont wanna stink up the casa, then try a vaporizer, they smell nothing like pot sense it's just burning off the THC.

Ive smoked in my room many times with a pipe and a bong and as long as you cap the bowl and exhale directly out your window you'll be fine just watch for it blowing bak in, also poppers work well, were you get the part of the pen that keeps the ink stik in place its metal (or a normal bowl)and you put just enough for one hit so that there is no excess butn off, I also find these to seriously mess me up

I smoke out of a pipe/bong in my room every night I have some
grass... I just took out my screen(said it was bent and blocking
the window from closing) so I can blow it down the side of the house so
it won't come back in... Just hold your doob out the window and
around the side(make sure to account for wind as for which side).

fan idea is good, make some popcorn, that also smells up the
house. You might even go as far as to combine these meathods by
blowing your smoke through the stick thing i explained through the fan,
either cap or let the smoke go through the fan if using a pipe, if a
joint is used, use the above idea. towls under doors are good,
and then after its all done light incense and make some popcorn.
You will be fine.

put a towel under your door and sit next to your window. and if you want
to be even safer close the vent in your room so it cant go through the air
vents and get in the house. i guarantee they will have no idea, just dont
let much smoke in your room. and if you want to go a step further, get a
spray can of some air neutralizer. it doesnt smell and it kills odors. and

Swim has smoked many times in his room. Just make sure you blow the
smoke outside the window and you'll be fine. Really nothing to worry
about unless your parents smoke tons of pot and they can easily
recognize the smell.
