which online encyclopedia?

i came across an article that was sayin how theres been a lot of competition with online encyclobedias. i was completing oblivious to this, ive always just gone to wiki any time i wanted an article on something specific, and i never really even wondered if theres other options in encyclopedias. and i dont fully trust wiki since its put together by anyone who wants to post an article, i know theres administrators and all, but its nothing like printed encyclopedia thats almost completely dependable.

So the question im getting at is - Which [free] online encyclopedia do you most depend on/trust? And how do they comb out false info?

this is the only source i trust, the others dont seem to match up w the quality.

is this owned by wiki? it has wiki in the address and resembles wikipedia, i know wiki has alot of branches, r u sure this isnt one?

I didn't realise that there was much else than Wikipedia and assorted ripoffs. Best bet is to read wikipedia and apply salt as needed.

sorry man, my post was a joke as well as the link. as far as the online encyclopedias go wiki may be the best bet, BUT in my experience a great deal of the more specialised topics, have errors in them, and seem to have been written by highschool teachers of something. so dont rely on it too much.
