I was told it was from the same family as GHB and it can provide some of the same effects as GHB as far as body tingle. I tried some mixed in a drink and got a little tingle but I am unsure if it was from the GABA or it was from the awesome Pinacoloda I made.

Does anyone know the doesage to get the the effects if any?

No, but the pina colada sure sounds good. Blended.

gaba is actually worthless...it would have the same effect as GHB IF it were able to clross the blood brain barrier but it can't so you won't feel a thing

There's a reason you can't get GABA in the States.

Since when can you not get GABA in the states? As far as I know it is readily available almost everywhere. Throw "GABA Supplement" at google and take a look.

Now to the issue at hand:

GABA is a neurotransmitter, and GHB acts on the brain by taking the place of GABA in neurochemical processes (GHB does, of course, cross the BBB). Unfortunately, about the best you can hope for with this is that some enzyme your body possesses converts supplemental GABA into GHB.

GABA itself dose not cross the blood brain barrier to any significant extent. The most commonly reported side effect of GABA supplementation which is of interest to usis a tingling in the limbs (sound familiar?), which is most likely the result of a metabolite of GABA which does cross over. Whether or not this metabolite is GHB/L/V remains to be seen.

Hmm, my apologies.. I didn't check this out further. I just remembered seeing one vendor that said they wouldn't ship to US. Can't remember for the life of me, who it was.

GABA (Gamma-AminoButturic Acid) is used by body builders to incrase HGH
(human growth hormones). And these HGH in turn help then bodybuilders
get more ripped when it incrases the metabolism and burns some fats.

Well.. if you are interested in muskels.. I still bet GABA is a waste
of money.. and most supplements in the health market are scams.. if now
GABA would have some effects, I promise you that they are too low for
you to notice anything. (Well, it may work as good as the most studied
drug ever.. which does have sometime postivie results.. placebo!!)

GABA is a total waste of money, I gave it a go to see what it would do for. It did give mea "tingle" which comeson in about 3-5 seconds. I thought it interesting that an oral powder had such an immediate effect when swallowed. It kind of feels like skin flushing you get from Niacin, not exactly pleasurable.

I liked the taste of it though, something dextrose, glutaminewith a hint of coconut. Of course it's listed as a precursor to G so i'm not throwing the bottle away.
