Shroom hunting Mushroom Hunting in Oklahoma

I have been looking over a bunch of threads here in the past couple of days when i thought of the idea... I have a farm/ranch type thing in Southern Oklahoma, right over the Texas border. My family has over 400+ acres, and RIGHt next to us, is another quite large property. Mostly it is used to keep his cows on. I remembered this, and thought..."This might be a great plaace to go shroom hunting.

It is NEVER tooooo hot up there, rains quite a bit actually, and since its down south i was wondering if in the next couple of weeks, would be a good time to go up and look. I was also wondering if i do infact find a bunch of shrooms up there, they will no doubt be wet and not dry, so how much would i have to pick? I am researching the different kind of shrooms, and will bring pics of Cubensis up there so i know not to pick the wrong kinds.

Basically i was just wondering if this would be a good time to look for shrooms, since it is infact a huge cow pasture and there are patties all over the place.

SWIM has read it's best to wait 24 - 72 hours after it rains. It's also in the 50's in the Oklahoma area now, not sure if that's conducive to fruiting.

lol, i just looked at the extended weather forecast. And the weekend we are planning on going,(friday) it is supposed to rain on wednesday or thursday....so im thinking it will be a good time...

but im not sure..and since it is like a 100 acre cow pasture...theres GOTS to be shrooms out thurr somewhere!!! lol
