Setting - tripping by yourself

i know most people here wold think that it is a bad idea to trip by yourself but what if swim likes to tripp by himself and likes being alone there is no one to bother you and you can do whatever you want i have tripped on shrooms before my first time was an 8th it went alright at the end but swim is going to be tripping his first time on lsd but can't trust anybody with him or any of the people he goes with but likes to be alone alot and is pretty cool person that won't freak out and beilive me he had many bad tripps but he went through them and knows what he is doing and what he is suppose to do swim is tacking one hit for his first time but really wants to do it by himself and he has been preparing for this for ages to and knows how to set himself in a good mood and why he even won'ts to do it so he won't be like why did i do it when the effects come in strong or something

Is that all one sentence?? Swim doesn't see too many problems from tripping alone, as it's definitely his preferred way for shrooms or higher dose journies.. It can help to have a trusted friend with you, should something difficult arise, however, this is not usually necessary, and with SWIW's experience, I doubt you'll have any problems...

If swiy thinks they can handle the trip, then go for it. Swim has tripped alone a few times. Its much better tripping with others though, for swim it was at least. Tripping in groups of 5-10 people is best since it is many hours of serious laughing. Cheeks will be sore the next day.

So, Wallydam, what is the point of your Post? Please explain.

Are you arguing for people to try and Trip alone? If so, I have Tripped alone, especially my First few Trips (although, my First one was partially spent on the Beach in Santa Cruz, I didn't talk to anyone).

Are you suggesting that people are lousy, and it's better to not hang around any of them while you Trip? If so, find some better friends.

Are you bragging, that you are Macho because you can be alone? If so, Poof, you are Macho.

Please try to use some punctuation (like a period, every once in a while). If you are doing this for effect, well, it works. It is irritating to read line-after-line with no breaks.

Tripping alone is a lot different than tripping with a group of friends. First of all it is a lot easier to let go and explore your own mind. With others conversation is the main element of the trip and you can discuss the trip with your friends. You cant come completely out of your shell though. If you are tripping with friends you will likely be interacting and laughing your ass off. The laughing is the best part. While alone you can close your eyes and listen to some headphones or just do what you please. You can still do this with friends but more than likely after a few minutes you will engage in some sort of conversation.

When you are alone you can close your eyes and float down stream. There are no limits and you can go as far as you let yourself. It realy depends what you are tripping on and what you are trying to get out of the trip. It is fun to have friends around but if you are on a high dose of LSD or shrooms you might just want to be alone so you can do as you please. SWIM prefers to trip alone if he is on a high dose so he can just close his eyes and explore the unknown. If he wants to have a good time and some good laughs he usually trips with friends. It never hurts to have a friend around but it is a lot easier to call a friend over than to tell a friend who is tripping with you to leave. If you are accustomed to psychadelics then there should be no problem tripping by yourself. Just be in a controlled enviroment and dont do anything stupid.

It is great to trip with friends and to have meaningful conversations with them. You can really connect with each other in ways that you never have before. You cannot do this alone. Any conversation you have will be with yourself and you will learn a lot about who you are as a person. If you are tripping with friends you will learn a lot about yourself but also some about your friends. SWIM thinks you can trip much harder alone and you dont have to deal with anyones problems but your own. That is not to say there will be problems with friends but each additional person tripping is another possible ingredient in a recipe for disaster. Hopefully your friends are trustworthy enough to stay under control but you can never be for sure. Just something to think about. Controlling yourself during a "bad trip" is one thing but try controlling one or two of your friends. Trying to control a situation like this while tripping just adds to the terror. SWIM is 95 and has been tripping for quite some time so listen to the old man

Tripping alone is quite different than tripping with friends. Decide what you want from the trip and make your decision. It can be enlightening and fun either way and you know the saying two is company but three is a crowd. Hopfully you have good friend who can handle their drugs but SWIM has seen some situations where one person fucked it up for everyone. That one person got in a loop and started talking about something that got everyone else in a loop.

If you have been preparing then you will be fine. If you dont want people around then trip alone! Tripping with friends is an experience on its own but maybe it is not what you need for your first trip. As long as you are in a safe enviroment everything will be fine. If you feel the need you can call a friend over later in the night. Maybe you can tell a friend you will be tripping and to look out for a possible phone call later in the night.

thank you for the advice. =D yah i trip with friend all the time with shrooms done it alot but never explored myself and some friends always fuckes it up some how not there fault just something happenes.... that is exactly why i am doing it i wanted to go deeper with myself trining to do something but it is hard to explain when i try with shrooms it messes up somehow but i am totally comftroballe with myself and the enviroment ill be in and been planing to do alot of things with it by myself thank so much for all the advice =D i have like a day after that to recover then college..... yah ill be safe i did some stupid stuff a long time ago went on a canoo ride with a friend and had a very bad trip lol thinking on that a long time ago but yah i totaly know what you mean about just having your own problems to deal with not anybody elses thank you again for the advice

Yes you might want to use the term SWIM because we all know that you are not planning on tripping any time soon. You can use the serch engine to find out more about SWIM, but basically SWIM is someone who isnt me. Honestly SWIM does not know why it has to be used because other forums look down upon the use of SWIM and say that it would not help in the case that the site was used against you. SWIM has gotten accustomed to using the term so what the hell. Really it cant hurt and any saftey precautions available should be used.

Tripping alone teaches you plenty about yourself, there's nothing wrong with it at all. There are many lessons to learn ether way; while tripping with friends or alone. Most importantly though, is the set and setting rule, this rule can turn a trip into a good one or a bad one.

what i find perfect about trippin alone is that there is no mind around you that you wish to be understood by - or no mind that wishes you to understand it ... just your own conciouns and the road it wishes to take.

the act of 'UNDERSTANDING through the thinking mind' - mainly created by thought, words and mind-constructs - is what keeps a mind from loosing itself in the everfloating ocean ... trippin alone is very interesting. just be sure you're up to it, and take all neccesary precautions.

Tripping alone is different than tripping with people. SWIM finds tripping alone to be much more usefull for serious personal work. Tripping with others is more about just having fun.

SWIM tripped his first time alone, well mother was home and a friend came over later. He wasn't scared of taking it so he really didn't need a sitter. SWIM just played NFSU2 and watched TV......fun stuff
