Prohibition in 1840?
As my signiture quotes: "Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes crimes out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." This is said in 1840 but then were no illegal drugs and prohibition laws? There were even no intensions to make new pain reliever morphine, and 20 yers later to come Gods Own Medicine(Cocaine) illegal. I must've misunderstood something..
