Swim was caught in a club the other day with weed and poppers.he was held until the police arrived at which point swim was arrested.

at the station swim denied having ever seen the weed before and claimed that the bouncers were trying to stitch him up. the police seemed to buy this story and swim was instructed to sign a "disclaimer" for the weed.

the police then said that despite the fact that poppers are legal swim could not have them back incase there was another (illegal) substance in the bottle. they said that unless swim disclaimed the poppers aswell swim would be held in cells overnite and the poppers would be sent for testing and he wouldnt get them back anyway. so obviously swim disclaimed the poppers and got to go home.

i have tried to find out the law on this to see if the police acted appropriately. it seems strange to me that the police can seize a legal substance just incase it might be illegal. any one know anything about the law as far as this is concerned?
