Opinions - Which Species of Mushroom for a First Time User?

Stropharia Cubensis
Psilocybe Colombian
Psilocybe Philipine
Copelandia Cyanescens

Copelandia Cyanescens definitely. But I wouldn't recommend them to a psychedelics newbie. They're pretty intense.

For a first timer, SWIM would recommend just sticking with cubensis.

My first and best trip as of yet was on Copelandia Cyanescens. It was intense and very confusing at a low dose (0.5g) and truly showed me the shroom effect. Psilocybe Cubensis or other Psilocybe strains don't confuse me as much or "bombard" me with thoughts like the hawaiian Copelandia did, but that's just my opinion and experience. I did get quite a rough start though and my second trip on copelandia (1.2g) totally destroyed my psyche for weeks after the trip... If it's your first time and you feel like you're not up for the ride or want to be completely overwhelmed, go with a medium dose of cubensis. That's the most common psilocybin containing mushroom for a very good reason

SWIM advises you NOT to take the cyanescens for the first time, these are more for the more advanced shroomers. if SWIM was you, he would go with the cubensis, cubensis is known to be the best starter's mushrooms, and most people report that they can laugh their ass off on cubensis.
Copelandia Cyanescens can be really dark and evil for swim sometimes, and the "bodybuzz" is also REALLY intense a lot of times, this is definitely not a starter's mushroom. but if you are pretty experienced with other psychedelics (preferably tryptamines), you could do the Copelandia, it aint gonna kill you
