I tried this
![]() When I was sixteen and was trying everything. Peeled these things off, let them dry for a couple of days, rolled them in a joint and smoked 'em.... Tasted kinda heavy, but nothing really happened. But it was a fun eperiment. How do you know if you don't try? |

this question was asked on erowid... here is the question and answer taken from the site..
Q'Can I get high from smoking banana peels? I read that on a couple of webpages. I highly doubt it's true, but if there's anywhere I could find out the TRUTH it'd be here. thanks.'------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- A: Nope, though there are persistent reports of people who say you can get high from smoking banana peels (or bananas, or extracted bananas), this is a myth has been around since the late 1960s. There are no psychoactive components in banana peels, despite scientific names such as "banandine" being created to perpetuate the myth. Smoking just about anything is likely to make one feel light-headed, but this is not the same as getting high. There are a couple of possible sources of this rumor. One suggested source was a prank letter submitted to and published in the Berkeley Barb in March 1967. Donovan's folk classic Mellow Yellow is also cited as an early version of the story. The myth was repeated in the Anarchist Cookbook and has since spread on the web. Regardless of how many places repeat the myth, it is not true. |

LOL, dark!
In that case, you can smoke one for me. Also, be sure to check out some other posts about eating nutmeg and using celery extract to get high (nevermind the posts about putting drugs up your ass). Right when you thought you've heard it all, someone comes around and blindsides you by posting an even more ridiculous suggestion, and the "mango" post is just my way of trying to stay ahead of the competition. Use the search option to find those other posts. W/M |
