HOW TO: Be a Human LIE-DETECTOR!
from blifaloo.com, describes one of the most useful applications of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming)--i.e. Tony Robbins, Ross Jefferies (the speed seduction sleaze), Richard Bandler, others. Sorry about all the links to pics. I would really appreciate someone telling me how to insert pics in a reasonable fashion... i tried copying/pasting, even uploading/attaching files... doesn't look like anything is working. someone please help me.
Eye Direction and Lying: Eye Movement and Direction and How it Can Reveal the Truth or a Lie --------------------------------http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=330&d=1141252082 Click image for larger version Name: eye_cues.gif Views: 0 Size: 6.3 KB ID: 330 This is a continuation of our previous article " Detecting Lies". Many comments by our visitors have asked about how eye direction can indicate the presence of a lie. So can the direction a person's eyes reveal whether or not they are making a truthful statement? Short answer: sort of. But, it isn't as simple as some recent television shows or movies make it seem. In these shows a detective will deduce a person is being untruthful simply because they looked to the left or right while making a statement. In reality, it would be foolish to make such a snap judgment without further investigation... but the technique does have some merit. So, here it is... read, ponder and test it on your friends and family to see how reliable it is for yourself. Visual Accessing Cues http://www.blifaloo.com/info/eye_cues.gif visualcues http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141252082 eye_cues.gif http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141254611 eye_cues.gifhttp://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=330&stc=1&d=1141254611 eye_cues.gif The first time "Visual Accessing Cues" were discussed (at least to my knowledge), was by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in their book "Frogs into Princes: Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) " From their experiments this is what they found: When asked a question a "normally organized" right-handed person looks (from your viewpoint, looking at them): looking up and to the left http://www.blifaloo.com/info/vc_eyes.gif http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141254697 vc_eyes.gif Up and to the Left Indicates: Visually Constructed Images (Vc) If you asked someone to "Imagine a purple buffalo", this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they "Visually Constructed" a purple buffalo in their mind. looking up and to the right http://www.blifaloo.com/info/vr_eyes.gif http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141254697 vr_eyes.gif Up and to the Right Indicates: Visually Remembered Images (Vr) If you asked someone to "What color was the first house you lived in?", this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they "Visually Remembered" the color of their childhood home. To the Left http://www.blifaloo.com/info/ac_eyes2.gif http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141254697 ac_eyes2.gif Indicates: Auditory Constructed (Ac) If you asked someone to "Try and create the highest the sound of the pitch possible in your head", this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they "Auditorily Constructed" this this sound that they have never heard of. http://www.blifaloo.com/info/ar_eyes.gif eyes looking right http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141254697 ar_eyes.gif To the Right Indicates: Auditory Remembered (Ar) If you asked someone to "Remember what their mother's voice sounds like ", this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they "Auditorily Remembered " this sound. eyes down and to the left http://www.blifaloo.com/info/f_eyes.gif http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141254697 f_eyes.gif Down and to the Left Indicates: Feeling / Kinesthetic (F) If you asked someone to "Can you remember the smell of a campfire? ", this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they used recalled a smell, feeling, or taste. looking down and to the right http://www.blifaloo.com/info/ai_eyes2.gif http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141250991 ai_eyes2.gif http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/att...1&d=1141254697 ai_eyes2.gif Down and To the Right Indicates: Internal Dialog (Ai) This is the direction of someone eyes as they "talk to themselves". The Gist of it... How this information is used to detect lies: Example: Let's say your child ask's you for a cookie, and you ask them "well, what did your mother say?" As they reply "Mom said... yes." they look to the left. This would indicate a made up answer as their eyes are showing a "constructed image or sound. Looking to the right would indicated a "remembered" voice or image, and thus would be telling the truth. Related Books: Frogs into Princes, Never be Lied to Again Final Notes: *** Looking straight ahead or with eyes that are defocused/unmoving is also considered a sign of visual accessing. *** A typical left-handed person would have the opposite meanings for their eye-directions. *** As with other signs of lying, you should first establish and understand a persons base-behavior before concluding they are lying by the direction of their eyes. *** Many critics believe the above is a bunch of bullshit. In my own experiments I have found these techniques to be more true than not. But, why not find out for yourself? Make up a list of questions that like the sample ones, and give them to your friends/family anyone who would be your guinea pig, observe their eye movements and record the results. *** This guide is hardly in-depth, I recommend getting the book "Frogs into Princes: Neuro Linguistic Programming" by Richard Bandler and John Grinder for a more thorough explanation if the subject interests you. ----------------------------------------------------- Hi. I've read the book "Frogs into Princes" and did not find it of any use for better understanding the visual accessing cues. This guide is probably the best explanation I've ever read. In his book, "Frogs into Princes," (actually an audio recording--scripted into a book format), Bandler spends most of his time trying to 'proove' that the accessing cues exist. Short answer: They exist. In reality: ideas are based upon the assumption that all Right Handed people are Left-Brained, and vice-versa. In reality, this statement is not true. If I remember correctly, it is thought that approximately 80% of Right-handed people are Left-brained, the other 20% are Right-Brained. And again, if memory serves me, even fewer Left-handed people are Right-Brained... but just remember that as a rule of thumb, MOST R-handers are L-brained, and most L-handers are R-brained. There's a simple solution to this fault in logic... Just PERFORM A TEST ON THE SUBJECT FIRST!! You can ask them to imagine ____ and then watch their eye activity for your answer. Chances are, you will at very least be able to use this technique to evaluate people for lying to you when placed 'on-the-spot' i.e. playing poker, on witness stand, when confronted by a crowd. Remember the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) is FAR more powerful than the conscious mind. People cannot help if their pupils BLOW into full diation when they lie. (i.e. my little sister: her pupils shot out into full dilation every time she lied. I used this test on her as a child, and it STILL works even though she's in her 20's--also still works when she's been drinking! thanks for reading! Happy Times, -Dick.
