Visual hallucinations

i had a question about OEV and CEV.

how come some have them alot, some have them little and some poeple just don't?

i'm a pretty visual guy. in the sense that i got alot of visuals when i'm trippi'n.
soemtimes i find that the less mind shit i'm going through - the more i'm linked to the unoknown - the more visuals that will appear.

but the trouble now is that SWIMgf just doesn't have visuals - EVER! - she's never seen anything in her life. a little haze blurred look - but never the infinite caleidoscopic views of the iner being.

she did mushrooms several times - never had visuals - lsd 2 times never visuals - ayahuasca - never visuals. and this while SWIM was lying next to her on the same doses and going pretty hard in visuals. And it's also not that she doens't trip - or doesn't have the feleeling of trippi'n she does ... but just those visuals won't come.

anyone have an idea what could be the problem or so - is this phisical or mental?

SWIM's noticed that several of his friends don't experience visuals either from how they describe their trips. SWIM gets them himself definitely on a strong dose of shrooms or a single hit of acid. It could all be down to what someone interprets as hallucination. Doing a moderate dose of mushrooms on a nice day outdoors is unlikely to provoke any obvious hallucination but doing the same dose in a dark room at night can open things up, especially if you use trip toys.

A lot of people do psychedelic drugs expecting to see purple rhinos floating in the sky and little leprachauns jumping around the place, but it really isn't like that. CEV are far more obvious but follow systematic patterns. OEV usually only modify what you already see e.g. breathing walls, shimmering ornaments etc.

After getting good experience with psychedelics, one tends to not notice visuals as vividly as you would the first few times.

The most bizarre and exciting (sometimes scary visuals) are the ones you get when coming down off a large dose, where everything is distorted and although the peak of the trip is over, your mind is not back to normal. Coming down off a heavy dose of LSD can produce bizarre subtle changes in perception such as seeing people's faces melting ever so slightly or thinking your hands are moving even though they are not etc.

To be honest, the most unpredictable visuals are off dodgy untested XTC pills because you don't know what to expect. SWIM has mistaken what appear to be clear objects e.g. a bottle sitting on a table, with something completely different e.g. water bong.
