Lortab vs. Lorocet

I personally think Lortab is WAY better, but the pharmacist was giving me crap today about filling my meds, and try to tell me lorocet was stronger..i can almost guarentee thats false, but i want some of your opinions.

Lorcet is stronger. It has more tylenol than Lortab.

It sounds like your pharmacist had a different definition of "strength" than you. Also, Lorcet Plus only has 7.5mg hydrocodone with yet more APAP.

Learn how tylenol works on pain, and also how opiates work on pain.

Easier to understand that way.

so recreation-use-wise, what is your opinion on which is stronger? Lortab 10 or Lorocet 10?

They are both the same. Both have 10mg hydrocodone.

For pain control, the higher tylenol is better.
If you're taking them for recreation, then you might want to be careful with the tylenol. They will kill your liver. Never ever take more than 5 grams (5000mg) of tylenol in one 24 hour period. Some people would advise that you should take more like 3grams or less, especially if it's an habitual thing.

Thumbs down Re: Lortab vs. Lorocet

I have a question you may be able to answer...I am on lorocet10/650 and have been for 5 months. The last month it's been less affective for cps. Do you know what would be better? Or should I stick with what I'm on as I have a doctors appointment coming up soon.

Re: Lortab vs. Lorocet

Well if swiy want these things for recreation they both have tylenol(acetaminophen)in them and this is very bad for you.No matter which one swiy chooses lortab or lorcet it would be wise to learn about cold water extractions if swiy is planning on using them frequently and for recreation.Swiy can easily use the search engine here to find out about cold water extraction which is a process in which swiy can remove the acetaminophen and keep the hydrocodone.

Ok It is not for recreational use as I said I have cps (chronic pain syndrome). My main question is how long does it take before your body starts resisting it? Not sure if thats the right phrase or not. Being on it for 5 months I am wondering if I should ask my doctor to perscribe something else. Also how do I rate or vote on you lol...ok dumb blonde syndrome here.

Re: Lortab vs. Lorocet

Well it won't take that long for swiy to build a tolerance. As a longtime opiate user swim can say swiy is lucky that hydrocodone does something for them. Please be careful and don't develop too much of a tolerance!Swim can tell swiy that opiate dependence is not a fun thing.Everyones body is different though so theres no approximate answer as to when swiy will start rejecting it or build a serious tolerance. If swiy has chronic pain then swiy may have no choice other than to become tolerant to opiates but this is not as big of a deal if swiy can get a steady and legal supply.Perhaps getting something without acetaminophen might be something swiy can talk to their doctor about.Oxycontin might be good.

To rate people click the little heart with the plus sign to the right of the date on posts but swim is not sure swiy can do that being swiy has newbie status. If swiy has chronic pain then swiy may have no choice other than to become to
