SWIM takes 1st line, waits 10 minutes, tries 2 more lines
Numbness spreads throughout SWIMs body
Puts on some music, lava lamp, lies down.
Feeling very relaxed, more numb feels like he's on an operating table getting ready for surgery
The room looks a little hazy.
Feeling good and "at peace". He reaches for the rolled up dollar bill. Does another big line. SWIM'S perception of time is clouded. One song seems to go on for an abnormally extended period and each song seems to flow into one other without gaps in between songs. Lying on the bed, SWIM'S right arm is bent, He can see his hand in front of him but when he looks at it from the corner of his eye it's not a hand at all, its something separate from him. Everything in the room starting to look white like the walls Thinks about getting up from the bed and tries. Impossible to move. Feeling the K strong now. Very numb and detached. SWIM thinks maybe he has entered the "pearly gates". SWIM is surrounded by white light on all sides. SWIM can hear music in the distance but not sure what he's hearing. SWIMs awareness drifts off into a white void. Aware again but very disoriented.
SWIM starts to feel like he's been reborn. SWIM guesses he might liken this to an infant coming into the world for the first time. Seems a little scary for a few mintutes. Music is recognizable again. SWIM tries to get up, feels way too dizzy lie back down. Was this the "K" hole?

If your lines were of average size then that was quite a hefty dose of K. SWIM has not tried it yet as it appears to be unavailable to him so far, though he would like to eventually. Good report, while I can't say for sure if it's the so called "k hole" it sure sounds similar from other reports I've heard.

I wouldn't call that a k-hole experience, very close to one though. From what I hear, it's very tough to have a full k-hole experience when insufflated. Once long ago SWIM took 2.5 g K to a disco in two folders, took one over the first 4 hours, starting slow as usuall ande increasing dose dangerously later on. At some point SWIM even found everything that surrounded him melted into other people/place and suddenly he was in the opposite corner of the disco, which was very strange sice he was not able to walk at all at that point. Confusion and meanfullness at the same time. Wasted as swim was, he oppened the second folder 1.25g and snuffed it all at once. What to say. Suddenly everybody looked like standup figures in black and white, coming closer and closer. Nex thing, a tunnel with light in the end, SWIM feels floating. 2 big paramedics saluting him. SWIM thinks, great joke of God, agels in paramedic disguise! SWIM is dead, SWIM has entered eternity. SWIM is looking at a street, dayligh, dead, happy and feelling the full meaning of eternity. Funny, heaven looks preety like earth but with a changed tint, a different sign. Finally, at some point SWIM got to teh idea he was outside teh club, unable to move a sigle finger. Eventually friends came out of teh club and took him home, it took hours for SWIM to realize did not actually change radically it´s order and meaning. Was that a K hole?

thanks for the link treefingers. his description of a k hole sounds interesting. SWIM didn't dive far enough down into the "hole" i guess. SWIM is going to have to break his fear of needles somehow

That was an excellent read. Some of that description suits my DMT experiences. It's wierd though, only a few times has SWIM achieved ego death from DMT. Its like a completely different world, with other entities, but they are talking directly to ME. His writing is so descriptive and it is funny how he says that you cannot remember 99% of the trip. For SWIM it is almost the same way with DMT. He even mentioned that when you come down you have visuals which are most resemblant of DMT visuals.

These two drugs seem totally different but from what SWIM has been reading, it appears that they might be equally intense but in completely different ways. The whole merging with the universe and traveling through the cosmos is often experienced by SWIM while on DMT. The feeling of love and bliss is often noted too, and the DMT entities have even gotten mad at SWIM for doing DMT while drunk.

SWIM is very interested in K and hopefully will be able to experience it. It seems like 100mg really would be a perfect starting amount. It was earlier noted that SWIM should not just go balls to the walls with special K, but he has been doing his reading. Even this article said 100mg is a pretty good dose to achieve the desired effects. Those who have problems letting go might have difficulties during the trip but SWIM is the type who can completely surended and go with the flow. SWIMs friend said DMT was the best drug he has tried but from these descriptions he thinks he might fall in love with K. Seems like such a powerful experience.

SWIM often finds that certain drugs produce access to the same space. For instant both Ketamine,Salvia and Nitrous have all taken him to the same place - a kind of timeless wonderland where the very reason for the existance of anything is revealed from behind a curtain, this reason is obvious at the time but impossible to bring back to this reality or put into words.

SWIM has only been right into the K-Hole once throughout his Ketamine use, but the experience was completely mind blowing and he returned with a great feeling of having understood the meaning of life for a brief moment before it was placed back behind the great 'curtain' once more.

SWIM and friends meet with friendly SWID (someone who isn't a dealer) at SWIM's house after a night spent clubbing. SWID presents us with plain white pills that he describes as "the strongest ecstasy ever".

SWIM, SWIgirlfriend, SWIfriends and SWID take a pill each and wait for the slow onset of effects in 15-30 minutes or so. However, after five minutes or so SWIM is very surprised to find the room has become much larger - ooh, like the size of a small aircraft hanger perhaps) and the others' voices are booming at him as though from a great distance, but louder.

SWIM fortunately is sitting in a very comfy chair. Fortunately... because when SWIM tries to get up SWIM sits straight back down again! This happens several times. It isn't a muscular thing, or even a balance thing - SWIM has simply forgotten how to stand.

SWIM remains in the K chair for maybe half an hour. The K chair? Yes, it is Ketamine SWIM and co have just taken, as you experienced psychonauts will have guessed.

Of course, SWIM and co swore never to take this strange drug again.

And of course, in a few weeks they were taking it regularly as a recreational alternative to all the stimulants they used at the time. And with some practice and experience, K became very enjoyable indeed.

Sadly, eating it, even in large quantities, produced no psychedlic experiences at all. It wasn't till much later that SWIM found out this was possible, after which time all of the K had gone.

Swallowing Ketamine results in slightly different effects. The drug goes straight to the liver when it is processed into norketamine. Norketamine has greater numbing, sedating and pain-killing effects and will make it more difficult to walk or move around. The psychedelic effects on the mind also come on slower and the whole experience can be much longer, up to 4 hours. Snorted doses also trigger more 'out of body' effects than oral doses.

The reason for your "no psychedelic experiences at all" is the above-- not that ketamine is a psychedelic in the tradtional sense (ie, like LSD or mushrooms or PEAs).

SWIM had half a gram of K left in his safe last night, 01:00 am and could't sleep...SWIM did K before but the never took more than a few small bumps.This time he wanted to go for the K-hole so he weighed off 200 mg which must be enough, divided it into 2 small lines and snorted it.He put the lights out and went back to bed.After a couple of minutes SWIM feels like he weighs more and more, after a while like half a ton.Then SWIM get's sucked in a oval green tube which for SWIM's feeling must have been half a mile.He floats through the tube and ends in a big open space which was very dark and had some green tints.For the rest SWIM can't remember much more except that he cam back to his room after a while but just for a few seconds and get's sucked back to another dimention.SWIM didn't encounter any creatures as far as he can remember.It was by far his best trip and SWIM had alot of crazy trips....

Strange, the experience described in the above link (to erowid) seems to be very convergent with what SWIM experiences when he takes any conventional phenethylamine or tryptamine psychedelic. While mind expanding and very insightful it can be very disheartening to ingest 2 grams of shrooms only to wake up several hours later with a fragmented memory of the infinite self/not-self that was merged with… Seems genetic variation stuck it to me again.
