i don't get it...(hydrocodone)

So, I decided to experiment with drugs a little bit; I'd like to more, but I only had what was on hand. Therefore my confession: free of drugs until now. (Well, except alcohol).

Looked around for things to take. Found vicodin, and took 7 5/500 pills. Then 70 mg of codeine from robitussin. Waited 30 minutes, nothing happened. In fact, almost nothing happened until I got a very, very slight feeling of being drunk. Or just a cigarette-buzz feeling. Two hours later I went to bed.

Next morning I woke up and my muscles ached, i felt like vomiting (but didn't), couldn't concentrate, kept falling into a daze.

I want to try some hallucinogenic drugs, but I really don't get this. It's wierd, because tons of people talk about abusing vicodin, but it really just...sucked. Eh.

Best advice to you is to learn from your mistake and stay away from drugs. These drugs are not for consumption. We may talk about them, but nobody actually does them, unless they are a loser or a criminal.

Didn't you learn that in class??

stick with the books, sports, and love yourself frequently with long showers, making and then drowning your endless supply of shower babies.

For your own safety, I think it best if you do a little more research before you experiment further.

Hi. Please be carefel with all that acetaminophen. If you want to experiment with hallucinogens and cant get your hands on some acid or mushrooms, there are tons of other options. Research DXM and RCs, both readily available.

That was about my impression; haha. Not one to repeat. The almost catatonic state it produced was the exact opposite of desirable.

This is probably the wrong section for this, but: my interest in hallucinogens stems from my interest in meditation and out-of-body experiences. I've been meditating for several years and recently with the intent of producing an out of body experience, with varying degrees of success. My belief on the matter is somewhere between a mystic and an agnostic, but it's not religiously oriented (i.e. not religious). However I have a strong interest in Native-American religion.

It's interesting because some accounts of LSD or mushroom trips I read on this site correspond closely to out-of-body experiences from meditation.

I understand that some hallucinogenic drugs (especially "natural" ones used ceremonially) can help "guide" the user towards a path to produce the experience without drugs.

Basically, you had yourself a little over dose by your description cfb1. Yes the acetaminophen is bad, but the 35mg of hydrocodone and 70mg of codeine really did a number on you, especially since you have zero tolerance to anything other than alcohol. Gotta watch those doses with opies. Dont disregard them completely. Although they are not very spiritual in nature, they can be a nice warm blanket once and a while, in proper amounts.
Look around the forum, I beleive there are a couple of threads in your feild of interest, and a few members as well.

motorhead is right...definitely research your dosages first. keep in mind that many of the people on these threads are more much more experienced, and some have built up tolerances to the point where their recreational dose could kill someone whos a first-timer. oddly enough swim finds opiates one of the more spiritual drugs he's done, but recognizes he's in the minority with that opinion.

betsym, your friend shouldnt have to wait too long. tell them to lower their use to one at a time, then maybe half after a few days, and if they are still having problems with the pain, try supplementing it with 30 mg or so of DXM, the combination of nonpsychoactive levels of DXM with opiates has been shown to be synergistic in combatting pain.
