Opinions - Klonopin (Clonazepam) vs Xanax (Alprazolam)

I prefer xanax over konopin, what do you guys prefer?

I've taken K-pins many more times then xanax but I would give K-pin a sight edge, however it's kinda hard for me to tell the diff sometimes.

I know that klonopin come in 2mg pill sizes so is 2mg klonopin more or less powerful than 2mg xanax. I know they are different but which do you guys think is stronger per mg. I know 2mg of xanax is good for me, 4mg is a high dose, and anything more than that is too much. What are the doses like for klonopin?

Xanax usage has never worked out for anyone in a positive manner in my
life. Everyone, even people prescribed who didnt know what it was
either got addicted, or in SWIM case, fired.



Xanax is usually more enjoyable for SWIM. Kpins make SWIM very sleepy, usually goes into atleast a 24 hour sleep. Very restful.

I have a friend that takes Klonopin for being bipolar, so it dulls her mood swings. Xanax can be used strictly for panic/anxiety.

All and all, I think Xanax is better, execpt the fact that half the time I don't remember a damned thing the next day.

xanax gets u much more fucked up, and is much more potent but the half life is much shortter and much more addictive (excluding the new xanax extended realease) but klonopin isnt bad at all i love the stuff. It is longer lasting and leaves u able to function a lot better alteast for me. When i take xanax and alcohol im out, and i cant remember jack shit, but i can take klonopins and alc and just feel fine so alone i would most definately go wit xanax. take 2 xanax 2mg bars and a 40z and ur gonna have a good time

SWIM prefers Klonopin. His friend is prescribed 2mg ones, take two of those sublingually and they kick in in about 2 minutes. Xanax doesn't last as long though which is nice.

I like my klonopin. After a mangled E roll, I pop a couple, lay down with sum tunes on, and just stretch in calmness, its sweet, just for chillllllin. Sometimes if im forced to visit sum inlaw that i wana shoot, il pop one b4 i go, and be calm and relaxed, as if i dont give a flying fuck.

i'm prescribed 2mg clonazepam and i put them under my tounge and i feel the effects within a few minutes and i feel so chilled and relaxed, i do nasty stuff on xanax i become very violent and do stupid shit while on it, so i tend to stay away from it!

Been prescribed almost every benzo from alprazolam, lorazepam, diazepam, etc. I've beentaking 4.5 mg/day of clonazepam for about a year now and I'd have to say it's far superior to alprazolam considering it lasts so much longer thus making it less addictive in that you don't feel the need to keep on popping more to keep the feeling, the high (i have to take at least 8 mg due to my tolerance) is so much more relaxing and won't knock you out or give you that groggy feeling Xanax seems to do, and works wonders on my anxiety.

xanax are lovely, while klonopin inspire me to beat people up. which would you rather take...something lovely? or something that makes you want to strangle puppies??

im a big fan of benzos but its really hard to compare xanax and klonopin, one is a short half life benzo with more of a kick(xanax) while klonopin is a long halflife benzo... i love em both, but it does take a lot more klonopin to get me high, but they both have their advantages.

hmm what a fine question. to be honest i think i give klonopin the slight edge. i like ativan but it takes a shit load of them to do as much as probably half of the k-pins.

Chemically speaking, there is no basis for this "xanax/klonopin makes me more violent/feel worse than the other"


Generally speaking, 2mg Kpin = 1mg Xanax, really just depends on the individual, of course Klonopin has a much longer reported half-life of 18-30 hours but I don't see any reason for this to make xanax more physically addictive than Klonopin.


BTW, I have been prescribed 2mg Klonopin daily for control of panic disorder, tolerance for both build quickly so as a result I will never use Klonopin for recreational purposes, try Halcion or Rohypnol (be very careful of dosage) if you are looking for a real benzo high.

I've never taken xanax, but I would imagine K-pin is better (ive done
them) because of its long-lasting properties. I would love to try xanax
sometime though, on top of my valium RX they would be a treat ;-)

SWIM knows that he is addicted to alprazalom, he knows that the short
half life gives him power over his day, never realizing when he comes
down. He has tried Klonipin, but the effects are different...feeling is
different...and reactions are different. If you want to get messed up,
don't do it on these drugs, they shouldn't be concidered rec's. Only
good that comes (for SWIM) is for medicinal purposes, addicted to
feeling calm I am. However, his first xanax experience was on 2mg in HS
and for 1 1/2 hours, it felt like XTC. Who would've thought that trying
to get messed up turned out to be the same as what helps SWIM live a
"normal" life. heh

Clonazepam owns all benzo's... period, end it right there. lorazepam sucks, valium sucks, and xanax is way the fuck overrated.

For me, when I do clonazepam, I think "man this is way better than xanax" and when I do xanax I think "man this is way better than clonazepam". I think that the two are equally plesant but in certain situations one would be better then the other. For instance, if I was going to be in a social situation and I wanted to have a fun time I'd rather have xanax. That's because the shorter half-life of xanax provides a sharper, more inebriated high. If I was going to be spending the night watching movies and laying around I'd want clonazepam. K-pins are more 'chill pill'-like then xanax, since it has a longer half life (and thus a lower peak and longer duration) and because of its affinity to the heavily-sedating anticonvulsant BZ-receptor.


But I have to include that xanax provides better effects at smaller doses than k-pins. So theres also the question of how many pills you have. Lorazepam is crazy, too. Different then xanax or k-pins. And on the topic of diazepam, Ive taken 18mgs and only felt verrry mild, disappointing effects. It's a dud when it comes to benzos, IMO.

I havent really done many klonipins but, when I did xanax for a few years straight that is 2mg at a time that eventually went up to 4mg a day and then 6mg a day and then 8mg a day and I had started doing so much stupid shit I would just go into these frenzys of wanting to jack people for their stuff or go out at 3am in the morning and try to break into cars or find ones with the doors unlocked. Ended up to steal a freinds radio out of her car cause I was broke and needed more xanax while she was in the trailer. They knew I had something to do with it, next day she came over accused me of stealing looked in my car found something that looked like hers. cops came didnt get arrested but had no money no xanax and started withdrawles andman you wouldnt believe the delusions I started having, talking to myself having conversations with an invisible person I thought was right there with me. Could not sleep for at least 5 days straight and I mean it. The only thing I go was a half awake half asleep vivid dreams with the people I had done wrong just recently telling me they were going to kill me and come to my house. I was laying on my couch with my eyes half closed listening to their voices right outside my door and then inside the room with me. Trust me it was wierd. Went to rehab and they detoxed me from the delusions with demerol. Much better now. Sorry to be so long just wanted to share thatvery bad withdrawl experience. Xanax is very strong, Valium Strong, Ativan not strong, Clonipin not so strong. Dont do PCP and Inbalming fluid it will make your friend grow a ape like beard right infront of your face, and you will get stuck and turn in circles. Crazey HuH.
