Dirty War

Has anyone else watched this movie? It is a movie that is set in London with the plot being a radio active dirty bomb being set off in the Liverpool section of the city.

I just watched it and have so many questions. How realistic is this movie? Could such a small amount of radio active material cause so much disaster?

I saw something similar on a Brit show called MI6, I think it was called. Anywho - though still considered a top secret - the critical mass for Pu239 (fissionable plutonium) is roughly 400gm under "ideal" conditions (pressed together as in an implosion-type bomb). This is not taking into consideration such technological innovations as red-mercury to create faster neutrons, which allow the development of the so-called "suitcase-bomb" - a fissionable atomic device that can fit in a suitcase and packs enough punch to cause another Hiroshima.

Feel better?

Interesting topic, but how does all this relate to drug politics?

Perhaps under the government attempting to curtail smuggling of drugs - while claiming that pot smokers are aiding terrorists! Meanwhile in a ticking suitcase...Besides, he did ask. This thread could use it's own niche. Maybe: While They Were Looking For Hemp Seeds...
