suboxin (not sure about the spelling) is a detox drug for opiates. it's been out for about 3 years. seems to work much better than methadone as far as being able to wean off of it after about two weeks, vs being a zombie at the gov's approval for methadone.
Swim was at several rehabs when this stuff came out. the description you give is accurtate with what he remembers them looking like. You are supposed to keep them under your tongue and dissolve them, but some knuckle heads at one rehab he was at were hiding them in their pockets and later snorting them. they claim it gave them a cheap buzz. swim found out later from a few guys with medical backgrounds that this does not happen. so I am certainly not endorsing taking them. you do what you want. I'm just telling you what I think they are and what they're used for. Look into subutox (again not sure on the spelling) because that's apparently the active ingredient and the one that had the potential for abuse. suboxin apparently was derived from subutox and has something else in it that inhibits you from being able to abuse it like they thought people could do with subutox. I am not a pharmacological expert. please don't take my word for what you want top do. I just was familiar with the name and the description of the tabs was similar. most opiate abusers who want to get clean, claim that it is a wonderful drug. apparently it is expensive (or was) but that's easy to understand being it would be in the gov's and big pharma's (not much different) best interest to keep you hooked on their dope (methadone) for the rest of your life. THat stuff gets taxed. china white doesn't. |

There is Suboxone & Subutex. The Subutex is the bupe which is the 1st step of of the withdrawl program. Then the suboxone comes into play which is an antagonist which blocks all opiates so it makes it easier to get off the hard core stuff. These are prescribed because they have less abuse potential than methadone and are alot harder to overdose on. However they are opioids so there is at least some potential for recreational use. But this is only what ive read i wouldnt go and do it without the advice of someone who has experienced it first hand.
