Few years ago speed changed drastically

From 14 years ago to few years SWIM never had seen (but heard about it once) shards out in the west. The stuff here used to come in big chucks like pebbles and in various colors, quality, texture and such. Almost overnight about 4 years ago it was replaced by a whitish crystal like substance of various length shards. There is hardly any variation in the product as there was with the other ( which has all but disappeared). Someone invented some new and better way is my guess?

could be that the first stuff was made with ephedrine and the new stuff made with psuedo. Or perhaps just cut alot more. Could also be just amphetamine, theres many possibilities.

Swim said when the white (glasslike) crystals first appeared, he thought he was lucky and got it for the same as before. Then after two months he realized that this is all that is available and even asked around for the other and nothing. He thinks there was a revolutionary (as mentioned pseudo) breakthrough in making it, enough to push the other out of market. The new stuff is less cut, he said because of two things, cheaper to make and harder to cut. He thinks that (as mentioned), pseudo was the big change.

SWIM has tried meth years ago and recently as well and finds that same thing to be true, SWIM preferred the old school varities, yet the new school stuff appears to SWIM to be possibly purer or cleaner, if less interesting. SWIM believe the change is likely mostly does to crackdowns on getting certain ingredients now, and making theis one procedure more popular and aappealing.

The older stuff sounds like it was manufactured and cleaned very crudely, and cut heavily. The methods used to manufactured methamphetamine haven't really changed. What determines the purity and potency of the product are the skills of the chemist, not the methods used.

What has changed is the balance of supply. Tighter government controls on the sale of pseudoephedrine, other precursors, and labware shifted the balance of supply to the favor of large scale criminal organizations who operate in Mexico and California, who produce higher purity meth than the average addict/cook.

Personally SWIM liked lemon drop the best. Perhaps that was Methcathinone sold as meth? It had LEGS, shit would wake you up for two days on one heavy dose at times. This new dope is too clean, not as much body rush and no real legs (SWIM can usually sleep within 6 hours, until SWIM has been up long and supplemented with Adderall).

The GOV has all the control now over dope since the crackdown on precursors. What SWIM gets to do now is cleaner, yes, but it has no RV (recreational value) due to that fact. It is all GOV allows SWIM to have now, so that GOV can get the cocaine trade back to its former greatness. Just another job being given to Mexico...

But sometimes it depends on the method used to determine the quality of the dope desired.... different methods and ways of manufacture can determine if your go-go has legs or a huge rush etc.....

Sounds like a flashback from the eighties, when white dope started to trickle in from the west coast. Replacing that orange looking peanut butter. Heard it called the same thing.

I agree that it wasnt always the root of all evil and problems in the world, as you might have heard the drug being described as.

I really wonder what it would be like to go back in time to the cocaine era when coke was more popular than the beatles, and just imaging what people might have done if they knew about meth and all the benifits it has over cocaine, which was thought to be as good as it gets back then. Although meth was made and used way before 14 some odd years ago, it wasn't something that everyone was familiar with like it is now, so alot of people just continued to spend about the entire 80s decade with coke being more important than life itself not to mention costing a person ALOT of money that unfortunately couldnt buy anything if it didn't come with a party or a dance to songs you havn't heard or with someone you've just met a second earlier.

sounds like different meth synths using different precursors. Especially since they cracked down on certain precursers more than others. Also different cook, different purity, different cutting agent... swim doesnt fuck wit meth but that sounds like the likely answer

basically what happend is that speed used to be made primarily with P2P, and manufactured so many different ways from P2P into speed it's crazy. The many different manufacturing techniques can explain the high variation in the product. It changed overnight because the DEA cracked down on P2P almost overnight. Suddenly it was an illegal chemical to possess and sell, so cooks didn't have any way of getting P2P anymore. This caused someone who was pretty smart to figure out that you could just take common 'ol sudafed from the store, get the ephedrine out of it and make that into speed easier and stereoisomerically pure, producing stronger speed. The "extra" body effects and such you describe were caused by the levo- isomer which is non-existant in speed made from ephedrine. Some people really miss the effects from the levo- isomer, some enjoy the more potent speed we have now. It varies from person to person.

As for lemon drop, it seems no one really knows what the hell it is, except that it was made from P2P and had a citrus taste, and was hella potent. It's impossible to find out how they made it or really any more info other then the two things I stated. Belive me, I've been searching for a long time for a lemon drop recepie because I am curious as hell as to how P2P speed can be so strong that it has people longing for it over the ephedrine speed years after it dissapeared.

It's a public secret that the CIA is a huge drug traffiker. In spain where SWIM has lived for sometime, speed and meth are damn near unheard of. Spanish dealers had to adapt to an english market in spain by providing different drugs, originally dealers only ever had weed or coke which is still true until you go to tourist locations with pubs and clubs where E's and speed are accessible. The drug culture in spain put SWIM off drugs as it involved meeting people who you didn't exactly feel safe around (not to mention the friend of a friend of a friend who knows someone).
