Why be a Pharmacy Tech?

Hi, I know that I barely have a reputation here at all, but I don't know any other place to post this question. In a week or two, it's time to turn in my application to Job Corps. I'm going there to take training as a Pharmacy Technician, so that I have a well-paying, enjoyable job while I further my education. Thing is, Job Corps is asking for a minimum two-paragraph essay on "why I should be accepted" into Job Corps. This kind of scares me, because I don't really have a huge reason to want to be a Pharmacy Tech other than that I'm very interested in psychoactives and the chemistry of medicines.

I'm wondering if anyone's willing to give me some pointers on where I should start. I know it'd be pretty stupid to right-out say what a junkie I am, but there's really nothing else that inspires me to want this training without the drugs I want to do. Has anybody here gone into Job Corps? Are they very elitist on who they accept? Thanks in advance for anything anybody can tell me, I'm really lost right now.
