favorite "getaway" drug

SWIM has had a week from hell...

SWIM was wondering yall's opinion on what is both most effective and what is your favorite or one of your SWIM's favorite drug to use in order to get away for a while... SWIM has alot of self-control (addictive tendencies can be avoided), and SWIM also just wants to try something new...

any suggestions would be appreciated... thanks

I would suggest that your lab animal rides the tiger for awhile until he feels better. Then reconsider any plans to give the critter a recreational substance. Drugging a lab animal that has had a bad week is asking for trouble in the long run.

You should give your lab rat some weed and just relax, or maybe just give it a alcoholic drink to "drown" it's sorrows in a sense.Trying new drugs at this time would be really bad.

I agree with Nagognog, although if you must the best drugs for just relaxing (for most people) that aren't too intense would be a few beers or a joint.

thanks, but...

are you saying that it is a bad idea because it can lead to addiction? or something else?

SWIM knows of the substances NOT to use under stress... like acid, shrooms, and all those hallucinogens... SWIM also knows not to use any paranoia inducing stimulants such as coc and meth

Marijuana is very easy to avoid addiction for most, even the ones who do get easily addicted mentally, it's still pretty easy to quit. Nothing like a physical addiction, so addiction was not my concern because alcohol isn't too bad really either. I have just seen people think the same thing, only to find smoking marijuana made it much worse overall, sometimes throwing them into depression. Only you would know if your one of those people, there are not many I know of, but it's possible.

Note: I'm not saying alcohol addiction is easy, it is very hard. What I meant was IMHO, it is a harder drug to get initially addicted to, but once addicted it's hell I'm sure(never really had that problem).

If you really wanna get away then a dissociative would be the best, and DXM is the easiest to get and works well. But if it were me id just put on some relaxing music and smoke until you cant think about your problems, or anything for that matter. =)

I seriously don't reccomend dxm if you have just had a week from hell. Especially if it would be your first dxm experience.

SWIM has used DXM before, but not enough to experience anything close to tripping. SWIM did not particularly enjoy his past DXM experiences, they included dizziness, intense body itch, and a certain rubbery drunk feeling.

SWIM most likely will not do DXM

my dog has made a that sort of mistake in the past - taking LSD in a very problematic week. he made it trough that week and after coming home after work he wanted to take some LSD to relax. what happened is that all the problems he had already backfired in his mind and he was feeling just the opposite, all the problems get coming back to his mind (the reason and reassuring that he already solved them didn't help) and he was riding trough another 6 hours of rigid thinking and anxiety, not a bad trip but it was just no sense in it. the dosage was not big, but he then realized to take hallucinogens when rested and in a relaxed state to get the most from them.
he really needed a good sleep, good food and some exercising to get his mind and body back in track. if he waited a day or two i'm sure this wouldn't have happened. so just smoke some until you can feel that the week behind you is not a burden anymore

happy thoughts

Although i will agree with everyone here and say you shouldnt use drugs to avoid your problems and perhaps you should just ride it out (with the help of some weed), in the past i have used opioids to drown out my sorrow.

Alcohol was always SWIM's "getaway" but then she realised that it was causing more problems than it solved. It was the point at which she realised that she had a hangover most mornings and stayed drunk all weekend that she realised she had to change things. She stopped drinking for a year (hardest thing she ever did although no withdrawal), rarely drinks now, exceedingly rarely gets drunk. She can control her drinking now but she is also aware that she has to be very careful not to reach that point again. If she did she would have to stop drinking forever (very bad).

SWIM would go for any type of benzodiazpine, since they give off a nice little warm fuzzy euphoria and also not only clam you down, but also relax your muscles. You could even take a benzodiazepine that helps with sleep, you could also get in a nice little relaxing nap! Good luck.

Ill have to agree with Nagognog on this one, but its always easier said than done. In the short run, Opiates=Relief. Be careful though, thats an addiction I wouldnt wish for my worst enemy, if I had any.
