having taken lsd in my younger days ever since i have always had very very mild hallucinations ie patterns distorting etc.Having not taken lsd for about 5 years i had some blotter near cristmas and now still dont feel right i feel like i am mildly afected still my vision has been fucked since i had it everything now seems blury.???

Hmm, Testtube, countless millions of people have dosed on Acid. You are the only one who claims a vision problem like you have is Acid-related.

The way Acid works on the brain, it is VERY unlikely that it could affect your Optic Nerve in such a way.

It is possible that you used the Acid to train your eyes to be blurry. You could have Tripped along, and decided that you could un-focus your eye. Then you re-learned to see that way, powered by the Acid.

I know one person who did the reverse. His vision (without reading glasses) had been blurry for years. While Trippin' he learned how to re-focus his eyes (somehow). After his Trip, his vision was better, and he didn't need to get reading glasses again for over 10 years.

But, do not be surprised if you need glasses. The Acid could have made you AWARE that things were blurry. You may not have noticed it before then. Suddenly, you are constantly aware that your vision is blurry. This is very common (even for non-Trippers).

Interesting. I'm convinced my senses of touch and smell have improved ever so slightly because of acid.

Drugs take us to an extreme of consciousness and has a lot of sometimes permanent effects on the workings of the mind, or causes memories that change the way you look at the world. LSD also has a great history for causing flashbacks and long/short term after-effects.

lol of course it was a preadator and it was very strong although someone once said as you get older lsd becomes harder for the mind to handle??????

sounds like a typical (mild) hppd. if you keep off the psychedelics, it should go away. have used marijuana at all since then, if so has it made the symptoms worse?

to be honest i use cannabis every dayand have done since my teens, as cannabis comes under halucinogen could this be causing it?but the acid definatley had this affect

The more you pay it attention, the more your gonna obsess over it. Just abstain for a while.
Your possibly just noticing what you haven't seen before you took LSD, you just learned how to focus and UN focus on certain objects. Like when you can focus on the surface of you eye and see all those dust particles floating around. I asked my eye doctor about focusing on that, and that i was seeing things floating on the surface of my eye. He say everyone can do it. but most don't notice it.

i thought i was permanantly fried for a number of years but then i got glasses . Marijuana may cause mild visions and can be easily confused with flashbacks. The odd thing is SWIM tells me that all psychedelics seem to wear off within 72 hours with no effects remaining but swim notes lsd is diffrent and for 72 hours the visual compenent may still be very interesting and things may remain just slightly diffrent then normal for 1 week after a single use or possibly for a month or more when used frequently. the long term lsd effects are very mild and generaly not noticed unless looking for it . colors may be brighter , tracers, more contrast, patterning etc but nothing that interupts daily life.

SWIM has experienced some HPPD but only after he started using 2c-i and 2c-e. LSD never gave him hppd but it is surely possible. The HPPD only occured when swim smoked weed though. Sometimes it was intense with full blown hallucinations like spiders and mice running on the celing.

LSD will permanetly change you and you might think differently for a while but you should get used to it. It sure changed SWIM, but not in the sense that it damaged or "fried" his brain. It just made him look at everything, everyone, and every situation he was in from a different perspective. These changes have been permanent, but for the best. SWIM doesnt regret a thing and he thinks LSD made him a better person. It showed him there is much more to life than material possessions. Material possessions are mearly symbols that we can relate to. LSD showed swim that it is what is within these symbols that really matters. The atoms, the energy, the light, all the physics behind it. SWIM definitely started looking at nature differently also. SWIM could go on about the changes but he is sure that most of you know what he is getting at. LSD WILL CHANGE YOU.

If the changes start to cause problems in your life then see a doctor.

ok im gonna have an eye test but this will just confirm what i thought MY EYES ARE SHAGGED but is this anything to do with the acid?

I have heard of people complaining of eye problems surfacing after the use of LSD25. But nothing conclusive was found. The best approach at this point would be to see your opthamologist and have your eyes checked. You want to make your eyes work as best they can. Save the blame for later. If you suspect that LSD played a role in your situation - then for goodness sake don't do that again. Right?

i have noticed the same thing like a very mild onset of acid things less distinguished and every thing flashing, and if i stare at things they start forming into other thigs just generally my vissiong and my imagination are closer than they were, i have always assumed acid has had a part in this, but i dont think it is a side effect i just think when you take acid alot you learn how to controll your vision and change the barriers between real and imaginary i do think the two go hand in hand, same with schizophrenia i think that when you open your mind to everything some people handle it in different ways this isnt really a side effect of the drug it self...

I've got something like that. I've only taken lsd once so far, and I constantly have just a little bit of acidy stuff going on with my eyes closed, and when I go to sleep, I usually see different colors and I sometimes have weird thoughts. I'm pretty bummed about it. It doesn't really affect my life, but I'm just bothered by the fact that I've screwed up my mind. I'm pretty young too.

Oh, I forgot to say that sometimes when I stare at something for a long time and it starts moving, when I look away everything seems fuzzy for a while. So maybe that's kind of like your vision thing. Does using shrooms make this condition worse? That would suck if I couldn't trip at all without screwing myself up more.

if i stare at something for a long time everything around the object im starin at goes dark and things go very blurry.

Strobe lights were used to gauge the effects of psychedelic drugs way back yonder in the early 60's. The person who had taken a substance was then exposed to a strobe light. They were then asked to report the after image colours and images.

Strobe lights became very popular in nightclubs shortly there after.
