SDRI and Adderall?

If one does not like the way he feels on adderall and kind of gets anxious and paranoid would one also not be a good canidate for wellbutrin? They both effect dopamine so if im depressed would it be safe to say it is not dopamine related maybe another chemical in my brain?

Not necessarily.

Adderall increases the production of norepinephrine while Wellbutrin prevents the reuptake of norepinephinre. They work in very different ways and as a result have different effects. Wellbutrin is actually a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI).

Dopaminergic agents and stimulants are usually tried when conventional antidepressants treatments fail. Dopamine may be part of the pathophysiology of depression for a subset of patients, but it's usually belived to be serotonin and/or norepinephrine.
