Opinions - Xanax (Alprazolam) for Flight Sickness?

SWIM is planning on going on a vacation which would involve flying for several hours each way. The problem is that SWIM gets nauseous and suffers from headaches while flying. Is it possible that SWIM could get a prescription from his doctor for Xanax or something similar to help him sleep during the flight?

Do you get motion sickness or are you nervous to fly? If you get motion sickness the doctor will probably give you Dramamine or Scopace and prolyl tell you to take some tylenol or something for the headache. If you are apprehensive about flying your doctor might prescibe you a small amount of benzos, but probably not xanax, maybe clonazapam or klonopin. Xanax is pretty strong either of the other two would probably work just fine.
