Whats nicer Hydrocodone or Oxycodone?

Hydrocodone is a 1:1 conversion to oral morphine (so roughly equivalent). Oxycodone is stronger (approz 2/3 the oral morphine dose). Of course SWIM is talking about equi-analgesic doses.

Oxycodone is about 1.5-2x stronger than hydrocodone. Personally SWIM prefers oxycodone, but for no particular reason...

Damn so swim has nothing to look foward to. He has had lots of Oxycodone, up to 120mg's in one night.

yea but oxys are great, there is no asprin in em and if you perfer to bump like swim then there is only about 40mg apose to lots and lots of mgs with vic's

oxy is of corse stronger but swim would rather be on a higher dose of hydro, swim has been adicted to both. hydro seems to make swim happy, awake, no anxity, maybe speedy and gen a sence of piece. oxy makes swim feel good but it makes swim tired, gives swim a head ach, swim feels to out of it even with a little dose

So swim would choose the hydro over the oxy

With pure oxycodone, extracted from percs, i insufflated a bit more than 90mg in 6 hours. At first i took about 20mg and i was full of energy, had a warm comfortable relaxed feeling pulsing from my chest to my fingertips and toes. I was mentally aware but my speech was a bit labored, after smoking some bongs and taking another 20mg i was starting to get sorta out of it, my friends became very aware of it as i was acting much different, i was staring off into space and just feeling very nice. About 30 minutes later i took another 50mg and smoked a blunt over about 45 minutes. After this i was very very messed up, it was hard to focus my eyes on anything, and as i was riding home in my friends car every turn and acceleration felt 10x as strong, much like a roller coaster ride. I had no nausea though and over all it was a very pleasant experience. The only beef i have is the headache i have today, the day after, but a couple extra lines were saved from last night just for the reason of helping with any aches or pains caused from taking/coming off last nights dose. I prefer oxycodone over hydrocodone in every aspect. I guess it varies from person to person. Try both and make your own preferences.

Considering that Hydro's are twice the MG as Oxy's and the same price around here, I say go with the Hydro's.........more bang for the buck. And whomever was talking about booting oxy's, he is getting Oxycontin confused with Oxycodone.

One more thing.....comparing the strength MG per MG with Oxy's and Morphine is just not right.....not even close as far as effects. As a matter of fact, if you take Morphine regurlarly, Oxy's or Hydro's don't even start to help with withdrawals from Morphine unless you take about 200 MG's per day at minimum. And even then, you are uncomfortable. Once you advance to Morphine, nothiong else will do....except for Heroin.

rub the time release coating off with a wet paper towel, or suck it off in your mouth, just becareful not to ruin the precious drug inside.

swim enjoys the head trip that he gets from oxys a bit more, but hydros are a pretty good approximation. for a while swim couldnt even subjectively tell the difference, but now he feels that hydros are more of a euphoric body high, whereas oxycodone provides more of a cerebral rush...it becomes easier to engage in certain patterns of abstract thought, make jokes and ridiculous ideas that swim would never come up with sober (but that sober onlookers can understand), and a sense of empathy that swim can only parallel with the first couple dxm trips that he had. the differences are subtle, but many, and probably vary by person.

this is a difficult comparison, oxycodone puts you at a better platuea IMO, but 80 mg of oxy will get you a really good feeling, but if you take 80mg if hydro, youre likely to puke your guts out

you should get a poll up, swim thought it would be easy choice, definately oxy, its stronger... but i guess some ppl like the hydro. swim's vote is for a nice oral oxycontin, or oxy bump.... swim cant stand perk's apap, and vic's apap, furthermore swim has never seen hydro without the apap though cold water ext is easy.

Hydrocodone and Oxycodone both interact with the same receptor sites. WHen you talk about feeling a difference between the two you are experiencing varying effects of various dosages. 30 mg Hydrocodone should feel about the same as 20 mg Oxycontin.

This is only demonstrating that lower doses of opiates will produce the hyper-energetic opiate buzz while higher doses will cause you to nod out.

As for what SWIM likes, everybody knows that I Nod Hard, Oh Yeah!

Oh and this seems to baffle alot of people, including some in this thread, but Oxycontin is a brand name oxycodone pill by Purdue Pharma. Just like Kleenex is a brand of tissue, and Band-aid is a brand of bandages.
