Health - Blacking Out on Mushrooms: Seizure or Kundalini

one time i took mushrooms and everything was going ok, i was just seeing things like always, and i was getting the fear a little bit, but suddenly, my mind went blank, and i remember nothing untill the point where i woke up with my friends all staring at me with fear in their eyes. at the moment they couldn't discuss it, but later they told me what had happened: i was staring(as most people do when they take shrooms) but suddenly i tilted my head back with really big eyes and all my muscles contracted and my whole body started shaking, until the point that i 'woke up' and didn't remember anything. i think this must have been an awful experience to see under mushrooms, but i can't remember anything of that moment so i didn't have that. after the moment where they told me what had happened and i lost my fear and incomprehension of the situation, i just felt really good, my body felt as if it was new. i was just wondering if anybody has seen this before or experienced this or if anyone knows what it is and if it's dangerous.

One possibility is that your rat experienced a kundalini. I'll leave it to you to look that up. More likely, at least as a Western doctor would diagnose, your rat suffered a siezure of some form. Does your rat have a history of epilepsy in his family? Fainting? Hyperventilation?

If I were you, I'd see a doctor and describe the situation - leaving out the fact that your lab rat may have taken something odd. Unless you know a very cool veterinarian. I seriously doubt that most doctors would be able to figure out what a n,n-dialkyltryptamine might do to one anyways. But getting your rat checked out for any underlying medical condition would be a good idea before giving Squeaky another dose.

Sounds like a seizure... do you know what the dosage of mushrooms was?
It's not too entirely uncommon with extremely high doses.

One time, when SWIM was younger and stupider, SWIM took a very high
dose of mushrooms. After some rather unpleasant experiences best left
untold, SWIM had some bad seizures and woke up about 4 hours later in
the middle of the kitchen floor, covered head to toe with bruises and a
newly "redecorated" house. SWIM has no history of epilepsy or any other
similar disorders, and it only happened that one time.

If SWIY ingested a large amount, I wouldn't be too concerned about it
(but would probably refrain from taking such doses again), but if it was a
fairly typical amount, I would recommend taking Nag's advice above just
to make sure...

thanks very much for the replies. i've looked up that kundalini thing and it makes a lot of sense to me, seen as my rat experienced a lot of those symptoms. i'm trying to figure out how to improve his situation, and i'll definitly pay more attention to how much i feed him.

My friend seemed to have experienced a kundalini movement one time under the influence of a particularly potent strain of cannbis sativa (versus indica). His smoking circle recognises more of a mind-high with sativa rather than a body-high with indica. SWIM tripped out for a moment and thought that hehad taken a whippet, but it sounds like this was the case.
With psilocibin? He's never had it happen, but he says he's very interested in experimenting.
