Security at railway stations tightened (UK)

i saw on the news last night that due to the war on terror, security at national rail stations wll be tightened (starting with paddington and then spreading out). This will involve airport style security (bag scanners etc).

like i say this is apperently for our protection from terrorists but ofcourse the police will quite happily use it to bust ppl for drugs offences. so be careful.

In light of this it is interesting that there is still no security at underground stations in london and that everytime the government introduces new anti-terror legislation i personally feel more threatened, not by the terrorists but by the emergence of a police state.

but then maybe im just paranoid
