Are all Nitrous brands good for recreational use?

I've heard of people doing this with balloons. Are brands such as Purewhip good for this purpose?

Yes, but some contain slightly more or less impurities or just different ones.

Might as well ask here. If I can't get my hands on a cracker what alternatives are there?

Couldnt you go out and get a 12-gram co2 cracker for paintball such as the pic i've attached?? Wouldnt this work? Because you could put the balloon over the end with the O-ring, and shabamb your good to go... right?

Good idea, except I don't think CO2 cartridges and N2O cartridges are the same size.

There are writeups on the internet on how to easily build your own from things you could get at your local home improvement store.

The impurities don't make a difference on whether or not it works, they are just not very good for you. Hell, you could use auto grade if you wanted to, which you wouldn't.

You definitely do NOT want to use any grade less than that approved for use in food products on your lab animal. Automotive grade N2O could possibly contain trace amounts of Nitric Oxide & Nitrogen Dioxide (tetroxide, I know, I know...). Even a trace of these will rip your animal's lungs out.

I also thought auto grade n2o had sulphur dioxide added for the explicit purpose of keeping peoples lips off the bottles.

^^ I have heard that they are different sizes, I have also heard that it can work though it's a little trickier to do.

so i've thought of that a lil bit... you could take the n2o container, and find out how much smaller it is, then put something on the bottom to make it stack higher, that way it'd still hit the pin... idk, never done this stuff so just thinking things up
