Pharma Huasca & Ayahuasca revealed!

Swim met Jonathan Ott some time ago and learned a lot from him about how Ayahuasca functioned in the human body. At that time Ott also introduced the term Pharma Huasca.

Jonathan Ott was able to study the use of Ayahuasca from closeby. He intensively researched the active compounds and discovered why Ayuhuasca is so unique. With this information he came at the idea of trying a 'pharmaceutical' grade of Ayuhuasca, which he nicknamed... Pharma Huasca! The most important in his discovery was that the Harmala compound (e.g. Harmine or Harmaline) didn't had the strong psychedelic effect which it was considered to have for some time. It rather functioned as a carrier for DMT, by which DMT become oraly active at doses at which its only active when smoked! Actually there was a kind of synergistic effect between the two compounds. With this in mind he came at the idea to try 5-MEO-DMT which, like DMT, is orally practically inactive, but smoked considerably stronger then DMT. And again it proved that combined with Harmine an orally inactive DMT derivate become active orally. For reasons not completely clear to Swim, but most probably because its has weaker MAOI proportions, Jonathan Ott prefered Harmine above Harmeline.

With all this in mind Swim produced, back in 1998, the first batch of Pharma Huasca ever. Swim made tablets of 100 mg pure Harmine, masked with a bit grinded Noni, and small tablets with 10 mg 5-MEO-DMT. The proposed way of taking them was first one tablet of Harmine directly followed by one or two tablets of 5-MEO, at choice. The first effects usually came up within 15 to 20
minutes. Now comes one of the most beautifull parts of Pharma Huasca; as soon the effects starts to decline, usually after about two hours, just take one more 5-MEO. It's not neccessary to take an other tablet of Harmine the next coming eight to twelve hours. Just take one more small 5-MEO tablet everytime the effects starts to decline or when stronger effects are wanted.

At a psychedelic conference down in Mexico the Pharma Huasca was well tried out and received very positively.
