What Drugs For Depression..

What do the doctors prescribe for depression? SWIM is going to the doc for the second time for depression. First time SWIM was prescribed Zoloft, but its not doin it for him anymore. SWIM stopped taking it awhile after he got on it because he came almost out of control. SWIM drove like an asshole, got in 2 accidents and got 2 underages within 2 months of starting the drug.

What range of drugs do they prescribe besides effexor, zoloft, and wellbutrin?

I'm not looking for a buzz, i just want to be happy again.(sorry if that sounds emo, but life sucks being depressed)

they perscribed me lexapro its the newer celexa but i did some reading and heard that people who took both liked celexa better. They claimed it worked better and the side effects were less eveident: worse one was the difficulty to orgasm thats why i got off it. I was recently perscribed lyrica. Its an anticonvulsant used for a pain killer in certain cicumstances, but off label they erscribe it for anxiety and i guess it helps with depression. I am really not feelibng the effect on my normal dose.(100mg two times a day) From what i hear anti depessants are not supposed to be taken lightly. i guess their a commitment. I talked to my doc and told him how i felt and i decided to give other things a try first. I dont know im very weiry about antidepressent but im almost reaDYto throw in the towel.

I'm on Citalopram UK name (US name is celexa) and I think it is working but its taken almost 2 months to start working plus it has many side effects but they are starting to ware off.

Thatsall whats lyrica like? Why did you get perscribed it? I have bad feet pain and i get strong co-codamol tabs 30/500mg but the doc is going to change my script as he knows of my opiate habit. Is lyrica habit forming?
