PUT CANNABIS WARNINGS ON CIGARETTE PAPERS, CHARITY URGES
Warnings about the dangers cannabis poses to mental health should be put on packets of cigarette papers, a charity said today.
The mental health charity Rethink said the warning labels should be part of a campaign to address public misconceptions that cannabis is a risk-free drug
A Rethink spokeswoman told SocietyGuardian.co.uk: "There is a deeply entrenched belief that cannabis is a risk-free drug. Every available method of changing attitudes, such as putting health warnings on cigarette papers, should be considered."

The paper is sold for use with tobacco.

To put such a label on a package would imply that the manufacturer had knowledge of the intended illegal use of the paper.

Then, they could be shut down.

Not necessarily... The papers are intended for tobacco use only, but everyone is aware that many people use them for illegal purposes. It is comparable to the warning labels on paint thinner cans saying "do not inhale". The paint thinner was not made to huff, but some 14 year old kid might get bored and decide to get high off of daddy's garage chemicals.

I have seen bongs at headshops with weed leaves painted on them, thats sorta the asme deal.

But other headshops dont even let you say kief without being kicked out of the store, u must say pollen. And some say water pipes not bongs.

Im not sure of the legality but i have seen both.

If they're gonna assume thats what the papers are used for then why not just push to outlaw papers?

no, its just decrimminalized or tolerated in some countrys ex. netherlands

and some people actually roll tobacco cigarettes with the papers

How about putting warnings on the paper about what the criminal penalties are. Thats the greatest danger of smoking weed.

I remember back in the seventies, the only papers swim could find was attached to a package of Bull Durham tobacco. Around here, most headshops have a sign on the door stating our products are intended for legal use only. Yeah, right how many people use a bong for tobacco? Tried it once, almost kill me.
