ayahuasca combos (taste)

I tried the banisteriopsis caapi and psychotria viridis combo today, my first experience which i posted under the ayahuasca experiences thread. I had a few questions for next time, and searched around to no avail on the forum.

Is there any variation of effect between the combination of substances used? Are they all similar experiences even though they are different components?

Does any combo taste even SLIGHTLY better than another, i couldn't even down the last of my brew it tasted to horrid, it was exactly like i had just thrown up, that hot acidic burning feeling in the back of your throat and all.

This seemed to resemble a very long salvia trip for me, in the way that i felt for a short period of time that my brain was re-booted and i still had the capacity to explain things but all other bias was missing, making many things seem possible that i would normally have ruled out due to "the way things are in this world." It made me feel for 2-3 hours that i was the most important thing ever, like nothing else mattered besides my happiness and no other opinions were taken into consideration or needed besides my own. This was a definately cool experience for me because normally i am the type of person that puts everyone elses problems before my own, solving other peoples problems because im to afraid to face mine.
