Hello and Mescaline Inquiry

Hi all,
I have a friend that has a jar of Xylene that he believes has Mescaline dissolved in it.
He's been wondering how best to get it out.
Sprays with HCl have resulted in a brown, crumbly substance that he believes to be Mescaline but he gets only a tiny amount per pull.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
