Does anyone know of anyone with experience or knowledge about the use of DMSO to help clear up a missed IV shot of heroin and speed?
When an injection of tar heroin mixed with crystal meth misses the vein it deposits under the skin and leaves a painful lump. So I have heard.
DMSO has a potency to penetrate cell membranes (skin, etc.) and carry other chemicals with it.
Would applying DMSO to the area of the missed shot diffuse the drugs and help them enter the system faster. Would it be beneficial in clearing up the miss? Are their any dangers associated with using DMSO to clear up a missed shot like this?
A FOAF who doesn't have internet has such a problem as described above and wants to try it but asked if I could find out if there are any dangers first.

Well my friend tried it and it works. DMSO does help clear up a miss. She says: get a tissue and soak it with the DMSO. Clean the area where the miss bump is and hold the tissue soaked with DMSO over the miss bump. Hold it there for a few minutes to let the DMSO soak into the skin. It will burn pretty bad for a while but it quickly reduces the swelling and diffuses the drug material that missed the vein which is sitting just under the skin making a bump. It seems to out into the system allowing it to be absorbed and taken away by the blood stream. It works best if applied several times throughout the day but it really does help it clear up much faster. I also read DMSO is anti-microbial so it may help there too. But don't rely on it for safety.

Though I personally cannot attest to the safety of it, DMSO does work for misses. I know of 2 ppl personally who used a DMSO prep (WD-40, which contains a significant amount of DMSO), soaked on a hand towel or gauze and applied to affected area repeatedly for hours, resulting in 60 to 80% of the swelling dissipating.
I used DMSO in the 80's for my knees (when I was a runner), and can attest 1st hand to its therapeutic effects for swelling. That stuff works wonders, but leaves the funkiest taste in your mouth.
