Anal use - Rectal Kratom Use

Has anybody tried shoving kratom resin up their arse opium/suppository stylee?
Some folks swear by the method for opium,laugh at western smoking/IV,they do!

I suppose it would work, as most things are reported to work by this method. Clearly someone needs to attempt this and report back with the results. Since it's your idea, I think you should do the honors, can't wait to read the trip report!

THis is more comon than you think, my mate (who used to be the drummer in a pretty famous 90's rock band) has got photos of five groupies blowing Cocaine up the arses of the five bandmembers after a gig! lol

preperation ~ swim placed 4g of kratom into 5oz of 100 proof vodka. swim let sit for 12 hours, shaking occasionally. the plant material was then filtered out with a coffee filter. the 5oz was evaporated down to 2oz. the 2oz was then diluted into 5oz of white wine.

8pm~ the 7oz was placed into an enema bag, and drained into rectum
8:15pm~ drained

8:20pm~ effects of alcohol very noticable, eupohoric, upbeat, social, few inhibitions; perhaps the euphoric stimulation of kratom coming on?

8:45pm~ very upbeat, happy, euphoric; definately feeling a euphoric 'mellow' stimulant of kratom

10pm~ ready to redose

So, there you have it ... swim has such little effects from kratom in the first place, plans to try it with less alcohol next time, as the alcohol probably interefered with the kratom high.

swim says san pedro enema was excellent! better to reduce to a suppository next time. Seems any rectal administration is best with a suppository rather then enema . Anything that taste horrible and/or is hard on the belly could be worth sticking up your bum if you ask swim . we need more brave psychonauts willing to take the big plunge and perfect rectal administration of many ethnobotanicals.

make sure anything going up your bum has a reasonable ph! too acidic or basic and its going to burn! Swim learned the hard way that something too basic will cause you to open your backdoor and scream!

I believe there is evidence floating around that some central american indians may have employed mushroom tea enema in their rituals .

SWIM has a bit of mitragynine/7-HO-mitragynine extract taking up space in his toolkit. At conservative oral doses it didn't do very much. Perhaps rectal admin may be the way to use it up?

SWIM thinks rectal administration is probably the only solution to this quandary, radiometer. Also SWIM was wondering, out of morbid curiosity, how much more effective does SWIY think a rectal dose of kratom would be? Would one use 1/2 to 3/4 of their usual oral dose? Does it change the content of the experience at all due to the lack of first-pass metabolism?

SWIM does not think a rectal dose of kratom would be very effective. First off, getting the amount of liquid down (less than 4ml) would be difficult with anything but 15x extract. Second, SWIM normally eats the plant matter when making kratom tea, as quite a bit of extra alkaloids are extracted when the material travels through the digestive tract. This benefit would be null and void with rectal dosing.

SWIM does not think plugging kratom is a good idea... the main problem being alkaloid concentration in a given amount of liquid, but also extraction from the plant material would have to be extremely good. He's also not into any "dirty" rectal admin, he believes a substance should be fairly pure when administered rectally (to avoid irritation of the rectum plus absorption issues).

Well, snapper had suggested that the extract would be effective insufflated. As for the dose - who could say without trying? Mitragynine is not at all structurally like opiates, so I'd be hesitant to draw any conclusions based on poeple's results with, say, morphine. One of SWIMs problems is that he has no idea how much mitragynine is in the extract - he could weigh it, but it was dried down from a tincture and is obviously not pure.

Also, there aren't really any known "standard" doses for mitragynine, to my knowledge. It could be figured out based on the average amount contained in his usual "tea" dose, but he lacks the tools for chemical analysis. Some vendors used to list the alkaloid content of their products - does anyone have any figures for the "average" alkaloid content of the kratom being sold these days? Compounding the problem is the fact that his extract contains both mitragynine and 7-HO-mitragynine, in an unknown ratio (item is long gone from the catalog where he got it, and he never wrote it down).

So whatever route is chosen, caution is going to be necessary.

Thats the same attitude most people have towards rectal administration of drugs. Swim personally agrees, not with the "unnatural" and "dirty" reasoning behind the attitude, but rather that its more dangerous in general (mostly with illicit drugs that may not be pure, though risk of OD is indeed higher) and he doesn't find it worth the effort and potential discomfort to try and achieve the possible increased efficiency.

In any case, some people do experiment with and/or chronically use rectal administration for a variety of substances, so information should be provided on the topic. I'm just saying this so the thread doesn't degenerate into an argument over whether rectal administration is worth it or not or if its somehow morally wrong. Its better to just keep to the main topic at hand, which is the issues relating to rectal use of Kratom.

SWIM doesn't agree (he's actually plugged lots of substances), but wouldn't plug kratom without at least an acid-base extraction first. Too much yucky crap in 'kratom tea', the alkaloid concentration is minimal compared to the undesirable stuff.
