How to tell your kids about drugs...

I have seen these drug commercials especially the one where the father is walking with his kid and some guy shows up with cue cards when his son asks him about drugs. I am obviously an drug enthusiast and enjoy most drugs I take. I have had great experiences and will continue to do so. If you play it safe and are educated, drugs can be very enjoyable.
However, I can't see myself promoting drugs to my children. I have come to the conclusion that I will have to lie to my kids about my past/present drug use. What would you guys tell your kids? "I've tried weed a few times and didnt think it was anything special?" "Don't do drugs theyre bad for you?" "I've seen drugs kill/ruin peoples lives?"
I mean we've all heard people telling us in school and at home not to get involved and look at us now. But I can't imagine myself telling my kid drugs are good if you educate yourself and dont let the drugs take you over you'll have a great time. But I dont feel right telling my kid that they will ruin your life either because its certainly not true.
Just a thought. What do you think you guys would say or already have said?
