Combinations - Mushrooms and Opiates

After searching I couldnt really find any info on this so..
My friend did opiates earlier today, in the form of 340 mg or so extraced from t3's. Is it safe to use mushrooms tonight? Also some tylenol would have been carried through with the extraction and hes wondering if this mixed with mushrooms will cause any problems also.

I doubt that it is not safe. Haven't heard about such combination, though. They have generally incompatible concepts of use. In my opinion taken at the end of an opiate effect, it would increase the nausea. Taken at once with an opiate it should increase he euphoria. The psychedelism should be reduced, though! HAvn'y heard of it, though!

Thanks for the input, i havent heard much of this combo either but the effects of the opiates have been over fora good 2-3 hours now, he was more concerned with the effects of the tylenol then mushrooms on the liver. Even though CWE was used, some acetaminophen still goes trhough, even if it is a very small amount. He also never gets nauseas from shrooms so hes not concerned about that, again thx for reply.

He has also drank whiskey then did a low dose of mushrooms, he figures that the tylenol wouldnt be any worse.

I never have had the desire to combo opiates with mushrooms personally,
but from the reports of others, it seems like they just make you a little tired
and slow you down a bit... doesn't really affect the trip itself. Your friend
should be fine, especially since the effects from the opiates already died off.

SWIM took about 3 top strength norco's the samller white ones. i know their one of the stronger ones though. Then i ate about 2g of mushrooms about a 1/2 hour later. The trip was more mellow but awesome. The body high was terrific and i compared it to being on X. It was great. I feel the vicodins kinda weakened the trip though and kinda buffed up the vicodins. It was weirrd and fun. I dont know how safe it was but it was fun and enjoyable.

Well just thought i would let ya guys know it worked out completely fine, he had some awsome oev's while watching the new charlie and the chocolate factory movie, very very trippy, especially when the oompa loompas go into song. Theres so many of them and there so tiny.

A friend of mine would like to have a mushroom trip in combination with 200-300mg codeine (or with tramadol or even kratom). He's not too fond of opiates usually (and don't want to fuck with them too much) but he thinks it could give a very "smooth" trip, with pleasurable physical and mental effects. For example he said he often has that feeling of being in a warm bath when on codeine, and maybe it would be even better with shrooms.

He doesn't want to take opiates with every future mushroom trip of course, he doesn't see it as a way to have "easy trips". He's just curious to try it.

Does anyone know somebody who tried this combination ? How was it ? Were mushrooms effects as intense as usual or diminished ? Could this combination be dangerous ?

And something else, is opiates/kratom dangerous with a MAOI ? (could someone take opiates with ayahuasca ?)

It sounds rather interesting. SWIM thinks it is safe to try and maybe even fun. He found a lot of reports, which says it's fun. However swim never tried it himself. Psilocin don't suppress breathing and codeine doesn't exhibit any maoi like behaviour. They aren't working on the same liver enzymes. Of course, swiy should try in low doses first. However swim isn't an expert on this stuff.

He can think up a couple of things, which can be icky.

1. The nausea can be horrendous.
2. The mind would be too fogged to enjoy the mushrooms, which is a spill of the mushroom. Or the user can be irritated by the mental stimulation of the mushrooms, so he cannot like the
3. The itching, which can be considerable with codeine, and a trip about bugs.

Your friend shouldn't combine Tramadol and mushrooms. Tramadol is an snri. SWIM thinks the combination can be harmful.

If your friend is talking about flying agaric, he shouldn't try it. It contains an Gabaa agonist. It does suppress breathing. It is better to specify the mushroom, isho.

Kratom shouldn't be combined with an maoi. It will prolong and intensify effects uncontrollable. SWIM wouldn't try it. SWIM would always be wary, when combining maoi's with something. Your friend should be very well informed, when trying something.

Your friend could find some trip information, when searching on "mushrooms and opium".

swim is going to trip on shrooms this weekend (the first time since he became an opiate/opiod addict. hes on 90mg of methadone daily. he knows theres no pharmacological dangers in mixing the two, but is wondering of any subjective differences mixing shrooms with methadone (or any other strong opiate/opiod for that matter)? anyone have first hand experience? or warnings/suggestions? please reply w/ info, peace.

Red Rock has combined psilocybe cubensis twice and had different results. The first time he had already done IV heroin and then took the shrooms and had a very good trip and fun time. The second time, he took 3.5g of psilocybe cubensis as well and then proceeded to IV heroin and found that although the heroin provided lots of euphoria and whatnot, he was questioning himself of why he kept doing this drug and shooting himself up with a needle. This could be due to the place he was in at the time (trying to quit opiates) and might not have even been the best time for him to be tripping, but it all worked out. No dangers to report of and he definitely thinks both times where interesting experiences. Sometimes one has to take the good with the bad.

Swim has smoked opium during the peak of a shroom trip and was rewarded with a crippling body buzz. swim could feel them alternate in waves throughout his body. its hard to describe, but swim enjoyed it immensely.
