Basic Codeine Extraction?

SWIM has some tablets that each contain the active ingredients Ibuprofen PhEur 200mg and Codeine Phosphate PhEur 12.8mg. Is it possible to extract the codeine by crushing up the tablets and pouring boiling water through the powder using a coffee filter to have extracted codeine in liquid form?

Depends if the ibuprofen is watersoluable or not, it may very likely be very unsoluable meaning mabey 1% or less of it will be carried through with the water which is nothing to worry about. BUT use warm water only not hot and definatly not boiling, high heat could destroy the molecule.

EDIT* Just googled on it and ibuprofen is very unsoluable in water, which means your all set.
