Closest RC to mescaline ?

What is, for you, the closest RC to mescaline effect ?
To be more precise what is the most close to the mental effect ?
and the most close to the visual effect ?

After reading some reports, 2c-x and TMA-x seem to be the closest....

a-MT?? Like mescaline? I would have to say no. Perhaps it is to you, but I found alpha-methyltryptamine to be utterly unlike mescaline. In fact I found it utterly unlike anything. Maybe a bit like DOB. Both of which I would never care to see again.

I don't really think anything is truly comparable to mescaline. It has it's unique qualities. Only in a very general way can I compare it to any of the 2-C's or DOX series. But I am rather picky.

Perhaps my view of AMT is tainted, as the first time doing a high dose of it (65mg) was in the desert camping and hiking for a couple days, it was very much like the mescaline trip I took just a few weeks before.

I would say 2c-e , except the comparison is not really that good. Mescaline is quite a bit more fun, and way more taxing on your stomach.

I'm unfortunately not experienced with mescaline, so I would ask, in comparison to other drugs, like tryptamines, what will be the main caraceristic of mescaline ???

If I compare my experiences with members of the 2c family and other tryptamines, I have the tendancy to say that the 2c provide a kind of aesthetic experience, it enhances colors, reality, something oriented to the outside. On the other hand, the tryptamines give me the impression to transform myself as well as my environment, like if my perception was not just enhanced, but simply "broken", "fractalised".

I think that I found some sentences giving the same kind of impression in Fear&Loathing in Las Vegas when Thompson compares mescaline and LSD.

Does anyone share this kind of impressions too ???? Does this have a particular meaning ??

I find mescaline to be much different from LSD to which I am very familiar.I like LSD way better and would love to find a RC that was more down that line.

I'd guess that escaline, proscaline & 4-allyloxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine would be the closest, but I don't think they've turned up on the RC market
