well all of this depends on what country/state you live in and unless u can get a definate answer i would assume that the police would be entitled to check a safe in your house/car. Also i believe in most places that the police don't need a warrant to search your car if it is on a public road (or if it is on your property and they have a warrant to search your property).

Like i say this isnt a definate, universal answer but just play it safe and (in my experience) when it comes to the police always assume the worst.

yes on the safe in the house, been there before. They messed up a antique bank safe, even after I told them I it didn't work. At least, I was able to see what was in there. Nothing that was worth anything.
No probable cause no searching the car.

The car needs a seperate warrent to be searched, or you being in that vehicle at the time of the raid. Also, for them to search the safe that would have to be outlined in the warrent. BUT some warrents can carry that with out saying, such as busting a drug dealer, or money launder...

The best place to "hide" your Drugs is outside of your home. If you don't need to access them very often, one cool way is to bury them in the backyard, while remembering where you put them.

A friend buried his cache under the vegetable garden. If he needed to retrieve something (during the growing season), he carefully re-planted some of his carrots. The rest of the year was easier than that.

But, Afroman, if you have a relatively small amount of goodies to bury, you can just double-bag it and place it under a stepping stone. I hope the cops never show up at your house.

One thing is (almost) for sure: If a cop arrives with a Search Warrant, it will not state that he can dig around in your back yard.

Yup. Swim knows a couple of lads that do this. They bury their stash outside their property line for extra insurance.

Best: Bury it in your neighbor's yard. Just don't tell the neighbor.

Stupid People - Gold Medal Winner: A person I knew recieved a phone call at home one afternoon. It was from the local police. The cop told him that they were about to raid his house and that if he had anything - he'd better get it out of there right away. So he gathered up all his drugs and paraphrenalia and put it in a cardboard box and went out the door. And into the waiting arms of the local police. Duh!
