Which one do YOU like better?

I dont know if its the source or what but ive tried some hash and i would always rather smoke a green bowl then the tarry lookin hash or the oil.

As long as the quality of either is fine, I really don't mind. What tends to happen to me is if I have some good hash for a few weeks but no weed, I'll really want some weed and vice versa. Can't have too much of the same thing. Change is good.

it really depends on what kind of high i am looking for. With has it seems like more of a body high, while weed is mainly in my head. If i had to choose one, i guess it would be hash, mainly because good hash isnt always around.

i would go for chronic everyday of the week and every hour of the day. i spent to many years with shit hash as my only smoke, even the stone from quality hash reminds me of the soapbar of days gone by.

Good hash has a bit of spice-like smell and taste to it.

The best I've had is a blond hash, but that was back in 1979, and since then, I've only seen dark hash, even in Nepal.

Red Lebanese hash was legendary in the 70's before war broke out there. I haven't heard anything of it since then so I would imagine that it's gone.

Hash in my opinion is most definately finer and more exquisite than some good skunk, as skunk, even in all its many variations is basically the same thing. Now I am not knocking skunk, but a high quality hash is a beautiful thing that has taken someone time and effort to produce and the better the quality the more love and care has gone into it.

High quality hash is produced all over the world and the location of its source depends on its form, smell and texture. In essence a high quality bit of Hash produced in northen India for instance is very different to some highly refined morrocan double zero. Maybe what I am getting at here is to score a high quality piece of Indian hash (charas as it is known) makes me feel far more pleased due to the fact that someone has taken great care to produce and someone else has taken the risk to import such quality, it feels more exotic and authentic than skunk as this can be grown anywhere in the world in controlled conditions.

The finest thing I have ever smoked was handpressed afghan. This piece of hash was exquisite. It was very soft and to crumble it into a joint all you had to do was rub the side softly and it would expand and fluff up into beautiful chunks, you did not have to put a lighter anywhere near it for preparation. Now the taste was so pure and sweet and it smelt just as good, my mum even mentioned that she liked the smell of this hash and that surprised me as the one thing she hated about me smoking in her house was the smell of "shit" as she called it. To quote her again she often used to mention that Skunk smoke smelt like B'O.

Now I was scoring this in the Summer of 2001 in the U.K in London and for months I was able to get it. I was very disappointed after 9/11 that Afghanistan became a target of war as I knew this would be the end of the supply and I have yet to see this beautiful hash again. Even in Amsterdam which has a wonderful supply of exotic imported hashes I have not seen any afghan which compares and in fact hand pressed afghan is known to be rare as the method they use for making their commercial hash is to press into blocks with mechanical instuments such as in morroco. This rareity and uniqueness does add to the special feeling of possessing such hash, it just never feels the same when i score some immensly fine Skunk.

I am sorry to waffle, I am quite high and if anyone is reading this I would be intrested to know if you are American, as I have heard that hash is extremely rare in America, sometimes even unheard of. For instance, when I was seling Pot at University one of my regular buyers came to see me and rather than having green I had some very high quality Pollen. As I knew she was American I asked her if she had ever had Pollen before, she replied "hey, I'm from New York we have all crazy sort of shit there". Fine I thought, then I produced the Pollen and she was like "what is that" "Hash" I told her. Two hours later i saw her in the Uni bar with her mates slumped in a chair looking rather red but with a huge satisfied smile on her face. I went over to her and asked if she had liked the hash and she just replied yeah! and continued to sit and smile warmly in her chair seeming content with the world. What I am trying to say is maybe due to importing difficulties maybe not much decent hash gets to America and this accounts for the tendancy for people tothink Hash is dirty and crap in comparison to Skunk, and maybe the stupidly high prices I have seen that People in the states charge for Good skunk also contributes to the difference in opinion.

He went round the world ingratiating himself fully with Hash producers in Morroco, Lebanon, Afghanistan and elsewhere and this book shows all the different methods the people use to produce Hash and is accompanied by his awesome photography.

I am american. i currently reside in san diego, california. i wouldnt say hash is rare its just not as popular as weed. the medical marijuana stores here sell it and it is always the dark hard stuff. people put it ontop of a bowl and smoke it. rarely do i run into anyone that only smokes hash and not bud or anyone that sells just hash and not bud its always on the side like "oh yea i got some of this hash, you wanna try it" i need to get outta the states and try some stuff in europe...

No it's not, I can get a hold of it sometimes and it's really some fine good hash.

I prefer hash myself. Hash and coffee. Im so hooked on coffee now that when i have a few beers i get a headache from caffeine withdrawl. Soon as i slam back a coupla cups of joe the headache vanishes. I posted a while back in a similar thread that I could never notice a difference between Hash and weed highs. I dont know why but now i do. Weed deffinately makes me more hyper and alert, but more highstrung and 'paranoid' if you will. While hash is a nice mellow stone. And i still prefer the taste and smell of hash. Lasts longer as well. MMMMM hash and coffee, cant beat it. Now i understand the popularity of coffeshops. Wish there was one in my area.

It sounds like you should get better hash. I would take a nice fat hit of bubble hash or 'budder hash' over a whole bowl of the superdank chronic anyday.

I would edit this thread to include a poll, but it's clear that hash is going to be preferred far more than weed.

And as long as it's good that you're smoking, I even like the 2'nd hand smoke from either of the two. It just brings back good memories.

I've lived in many different states (washinton, virgina, pennsylvania, florida, mass.) and currently live in ohio and ive never really come across hash in any of my home towns. only at music festivals and once or twice randomly in college have i found hash and only once has it been spectacular, the stuff in college seemed too tarry and didnt do anything bud couldnt do. I really enjoyed the stuff i got at a phish festival, it was indescribable, but i dont think i'll come accross anything like it for a while (at least not in the U.S. unless i could make my own) until i head to amsterdam or something.

i love having herb as a part of my life, and im sure i would love having hash in the same way, but i just dont have the opportunity...

i like mixing them both best .. i always mix it. never straight weed or straight hash.

'ice-o-later' is also soem killer stuff. it's kind of hash but it made in a difrent way - something with water, a bucket and a fridge - it's really strong! ... for those special moments.

so lucky lady M. isn't that demonised around here ...

I'm going to have to go for weed on this one, i'm sure good quality hash is pretty damn good but the best hash you can get over here is low quality polm. I did however just get a pollinator grinder so i'll be enjoying some nice unadulterated polm hash sometime within the next few months.

Although people are sometimes confused, thinking that chronic is just a term for marijuana, it is infact the name for a strain of marijuana that seems to have been adopted as a slang term used to identify a high quality weed.

I've been able to track down high quality hash (caramello specifically) in Ireland. It's probably smuggled directly from Holland though.

definately hash, weed is too overwhelming for me and gives me a mull over the next day, makes my head all cloudy. bubble hash is the way. if you know someone with a 7 bag kit your set, theres a hash for every situation.
