What can cannabis be laced with?

Swim was looking around the forum and couldnt find a topic like this. So, just out of curiosity what are all the drugs that weed could possibly be laced with? Swim knows PCP can obviously be used, but could any swimmers make a list of all the drugs that cannabis can be laced with?

Any experience reports with laced weed will also be appreciated.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

insect repellent is a nasty one ppl use on shwagg or LEGAL buds that look like dank.it gives a nasty high but an experienced user should b able to smell even tho it does sorta almost smell like diesel(prob y alot of ppl find out AFTER)makes swim sick just thinking about smoking something intended to kill a living thing.

coke is usually added by the user as its not cheap at all for a dealer

another that SWim wudnt be really too upset to find a synth cannabanoid(jw...018 etc),which some ppl wudnt even notice and/or care esp if its crappy weed.and for some alls good as long as it does the trick(better than Raid!)still would be nice to know since few ppl measure correctly

still most would agree it should stay how it is.....NATURAL

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

Resin/hashish:
Henna/other non-cannabis resinous matter (often encountered by the raging fury)
Boot polish/other darkening/browning agent (often encountered by the raging fury)
petroleum distillate/other softening agent (has encountered by the raging fury)
JWH/othersynthetic cannabinoid (raging fury has not knowingly encountered this, however he knows where it has been employed to strengthen soap bar)
heroin (has encountered it (supposedly) in the past by the raging fury)
Opium (rg has encountered it in the past)
Ketamine (rg has encountered it in the past (again, supposedly ketamine, but definitely something like it)
iron pieces or stones wrapped in cannabis resin (rg has not personally encountered this, but friends have, mainly at festivals)

Green/grass:
Glass (rg has not encountered this, but is a recorded 'phenomena')
Sugar (rg has encountered this once or twice)
Some syrupy spray (rg has encountered this - once only - generally loose buds and leaf are 'glued' to stems)
JWH/other synthetic cannabinoid (not knowingly encountered by rg)
Non-cannabis plant matter (not knowingly encountered by rg)
Opium (knowingly encountered by rg)
Toxic/other wise non-friendly insecticides/plant feed (not knowingly encountered by rg)
Mould/fungi (rg has once or twice encountered this)

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

SWIM doesn't see why someone would lace their weed.. That just seems they are wasting more money and plus nobody would wanna buy off em again if it was insect repellent(Seems like a double negative). Maybe this problem only happens in big citys? SWIM has never EVER encountered laced weed in his town.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

Some dealers lace the weed to give it a unique kick, and to bump up the price...
Some do it to disguise the poor quality of their weed (usually because its already been adulterated)...and bump up its retail £....
Some do it to to be able to sell more of one batch (i.e. make it go further by adulteration)
Some do it to make the weed look or taste heavier/better quality than it actually is....
Sometimes its processed that way at the factory.
In the UK, its the norm rather than the exception to get adulterated/laced weed, well where resin is concerned at any rate...
Although in the raging fury's earlier years, pleasantly laced weed was welcome and fairly plentiful, now days it seems that negatively adulterated weed has taken its place

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

really? mainly laced weed? always thought it was more urban legend.

it seems like with a more expensive drug like coke or H lacing, or more appropriately 'cutting' would happen. but lacing weed swim would think would only happen when someone does it to there own stash.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

Water to increase weight
Glass dust is another obvious one, and fairly fucken sickening if you ask me
Methylated Spirits (swim has been told, seems like a stupid thing to do seeing as alcohol evaporates quite fast and would probably soak up some THC making the marijuana weaker)
Other drugs are not cost effective, and seeing as dealers want money it wouldn't make sense for them to lace something at expense just to piss people off. I'm sure it has been done on the odd occasion, but it would be very very very uncommon.

Swim has personally attributed the laced weed phenomenon to paranoid stoners encountering a strong sativa when they had been smoking a strong indica or the other way around. Then jumping to conclusions/delusions when the high is far different to what they consider normal.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

in swims nick of the Balkans, opposite to popular myths (mainly sported by ignorant users and small time dealers, and lucifer allmighty(!), there is a LOT of those) weed is not laced with anything. swim had a thorough 10+ years of experience ( thinking about it probably closer to 15 years), and had never encountered such a case. only time he HEARD of it , was kids trying stupid things, like spraying bud or even leaves with insecticides, water solution of trihexyphenidyl, tramadol, or some kind of benzos. needles to say it didn't work ( at least not in the intended manner, not sure of the toxicity). OR, very rarely, by people who knew what they were doing- some amphetamines( on a party). swim himself tried out opium and heroin- each once.
commercially as far as he knows- nothing.
but, one could lace it with all sorts of things if he wanted.
the knowledge is all readily available, you just need to scrape the net a LITTLE bit. just a little bit. in fact this thread would suffice.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

in goblins experience this is something that used to get bandied around when we were kids, and nobody knew for sure if anything had actually been done to the weed. i was reliably informed in one case that a local dealer used to coat his resin with some kind of oil to make it appear heavier. i also read somewhere once that customs hauls have shown resin to be contaminated with shoe polish, paint, solvents, dog shit, glass, etc. much soapbar hash that goblin got back in the day had bits of plastic in it.

however stories people had about having resin/weed laced with acid is nonsense people made up when they got totally fucked up and were trying to make big hard-man excuses (the old classic "my drink must have been spiked" excuse). the goblin hasn't heard anyone mention any of that crap in ten years, since his schoolboy days, since all weed he now gets is of the highest quality.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

"Everybody" has one time or another smoked some weed/hash they claim was laced with heroin or some other strong drug. This is highly unlikely. The price of both those drugs are far higher per gram, and one would need a lot more of it because weed is usually smoked in joint or bong, which is not very effective with heroin and coke. Also, the effects of both coke and heroin are very different. If you have used one of the stronger drugs, you will never think your weed is laced with it. Because it's probably not.
That being said, some people might lace their own weed with harder and more expensive drugs.

Mixing hashish with henna and other stuff, known as soapbar in the UK, is also done by african dealers in Norway. If you smoke a lot of it your throat will hurt for a while. It's very unlikely you will encounter it anywhere but the streets.

SWIM some times think about the black afghan hash. For those of you who know the type, it's a soft black hash that makes you very stoned. SWIM encountered this hash a couple of years ago. The strange thing about it is that you build tolerance to that type very fast, and it's not cross-tolerance with other cannabis. But SWIM doesn't feel opiate buzz from it. It is something to think about though, seeing as opium in afghanistan is very cheap. Anyone has similar experience with afghan hash like this?

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

Our stoner friend had an incident back in highschool of certainly adulterated cannabis, but with extenuating circumstances.

First, he bought it from a friend, who got it from a friend, not his usual dealer
Second, this friend (and the FOAF) did a lot of "speed" on the weekends and thus probably had motive to have on hand adulterated cannabis for personal use.

He gave some to his gf who apparently didn't have a lot of common sense, and she left the ashes and residue on a piece of paper on the kitchen table (again, not the smartest girl), her father had a friend with the narcotics task force with the local police, the residue when tested revealed "black tar heroin", needless to say, some trouble ensued.

Technically just hearsay, but due to the amount of trouble the two got into, we see no reason for him to have lied about it.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

In swims experince cannabis is NEVER laced and that would be extreamly wasteful of whatever so and so cutting it with. Weed is so cheap that anything atleast anything active would be a waste of money to cut it with. Not to mention weed is weed... It is REALLY easy to tell if swiy have been screwed over. There are too many giveaways Smell, taste, apperance , feels and most of all the High.

All in all swim thinks it would be very wasteful to cut weed with any active substance. Also the person who cut the weed would never get any return customers so it doesnt make sense either way to swim.

Many times swim has heard people thinking there weed is laced one of two things has happened
1. They have never been so stoned before and are trippin out (parinoa makes it worse which some people get on weed)
2. They just got shitty weed. Called China Bud around here. Its always available. Smells like a barn. Tastes like crap. Really cheap prices. BUT not grown properly resulting in premature buds that do not get cured properly. The plants are rushed out to the streets before there is any time to flush out chemicals from growing therefore the buds taste like garbage and give you more of a headache then a high in swims exp.

ya when swim was 13 he tripped out and thought the weed was laced. he was just really stoned. swim thinks this is where urban legends of laced weed come in, with unsubstatiated speculations when one is in an unknown situation.

my pet goblin smoked some black afghan from amsterdam last week. he and his friends were the highest they have been literally in years from it, which was complemented nicely by some strong brownies. he has had afghan a few times and it is just an extremely strong indica hash not laced with anything. afghanistan is well known for weed as well as its heroin after all!

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

I am referring to weed in general, i.e. resin (hashish) and green (bud).
The ragin fury has experience with many different drug types and knows the difference (or so he thinks).
He has also had experience in smoking many different types of unadulterated resins and grass.
The term "laced" makes him think of "weed that has something added to make it feel different or better".
The term "cut" or "adulterated" makes him think of "weed that has had stuff added to disguise its quality, make it appear by weight/look/feel that its heavier/looks or feels better than it is".
Now, this is just arguing semantics , however, are people referring to "laced weed" as anything that's been added that isn't "weed", or stuff thats been added to give a different quality to its effects, or stuff that's been added to make it appear different?

In my post, I was referring to the raging fury's personal experiences with resin, and authoritative reading upon both resin and greenery (as well as one experience with "cut grass")

It's not a myth, however, it stands to reason that there are many that are just getting incredibly stoned, or feeling the different effects some different types of weed give.

Some examples of RF's experiences:
Resin, soft and pliable, oily, with specks of off white powder and small clusters of green powderish like substance. Effects where very heavy and gave a general lack of limb coordination, as in ataxia and it feels the legs/limbs require a lot more effort to move than is normal. One had to almost overestimate the force required just to balance/walk/pick up objects etc.. The other effects just resembled good heavy oily 'black' resin.

Resin, looks 'gritty', a little like pollum (but not pollum or 'ice-o-lator' types), med/dark brown in colour, slightly soft, turns fluffy and sandy when heated ( a little like sandy leb). Had small clusters of a light brown powder. Gave more of a contented 'euphoria' than any resin or green tried prior or since.

He has also, around a certain period, had some expensive 'black' (oily, soft resin) that had small clumps of whitish crystals/powder with an effect that added stronger/different style of patterns to/than the usual cannabis visuals.

Now these where examples of what rf calls "laced weed".

Resin, rock hard, brown, sometimes greenish tinged when heated, 'funny' odour and taste, sandy when heated, quickly hardens up again.

Green, looks like good 'sticks of bud' (a bit of stem with small clusters of buds), looks heavily 'crystal' laden. Outer buds smoke well, albeit with a slightly cloying/acrid taste. Middle buds smoke irregularly, often failing to burn properly.
Inner buds smoke terribly, feel very sticky (in fact the whole thing feels slightly sticky), don't burn well and become hard as rocks with the tobacco ash.
Upon closer inspection, the buds seem to be stuck to the stem with a sugary substance (tastes sweet) and lightly sprayed on the outside with same substance.

These are examples of what he calls "cut" or "adulterated" weed.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

once when I was in the US I knew a shady dealer who always overcharged for weed, but a couple times he gave me some "dro" that had a really intense sweet smell and white crystals/frost, and it kept me up all night, I smoked the whole q in a night (I had asked him if he had any more sweet stuff so he knew what I meant) does meth smell sweet?

also I have witnessed a dealer spraying commercial weed with fabric softener- also in the US

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

AFOAF has often heard of people lacing weed with a drop or two of embalming fluid. Reportedly it is similar to pcp, and in small amounts it just seems like really potent. This wouldn't be a suprise seems how the first person he heard it from also sold him a rather interesting smelling bag. The weed inside smelled normal, but there was a faint smell that seemed to linger in the bag even after the weed was removed. The buds were phenominally strong, and burned rather slow. Possibly from having embalming fluid dripped on them?

I have read several US news reports calling this water, or wet weed.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

My girlfriend at the time got laced with methadone. It might seem like lacing weed can be expensive but at the same time it makes people come back to buy from the person lacing it. "dude has the same weed but his is smoking better for some reason, let's go back to him".

Really anything soluble in water or alcohol can be laced in weed. They put it in some water or alcohol and spray it all over the weed. Basically the same way spice and k2 products are made. Not so much a genius idea but it does work.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

It wouldn't make sense to lace cannabis with methadone. Methadone doesn't get you high if you try to smoke it. ?? That seems odd to me.

Also, from what I understand, "embalming fluid" is just a nickname for PCP. I have heard that some people fuck it up & assume ACTUAL embalming fluid is what gets you high...but as I recall, that's formaldehyde, which evaporates rather quickly & thus won't stay on the joint/cigarette in any appreciable amount. Not to mention, formaldehyde is disgustingly PAINFUL to smell & inhale on its own - I can't imagine trying to burn it.

A saturated water solution, that contains about 40% formaldehyde by volume or 37% by mass, is called "100% formalin". I once was prescribed a 10% formalin solution. I *HAD* to use it next a window, with a fan blowing out - that's how caustic it is. It would make my throat & eyes burn right away.

I have to say, I think "embalming fluid" on cannabis is also a myth. Where the hell are people even getting formaldehyde? And trust me - if a "minor" prescription strength is so damn painful, I can't picture any dealer on the planet ever opening a bottle of stronger stuff more than once. No one would smoke your weed if you actually managed to get formaldehyde on it. It's tiny combustion byproduct of burning cigarettes, but the tobacco isn't DIPPED or SPRAYED with formaldehyde!

Honestly, the things people mention cannabis being laced with tend to be FAAAAAAR more expensive than cannabis. I know of people adding crack to weed they bought for their own private use, but I really don't see people wasting money on lacing weed with crack, when crack sells VERY well on its own & commands a far higher price. Same with heroin, or anything, really.

"Cuts" nearly always are to add weight in the least expensive way possible.

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

My old smell hound Geech had an experience with weed laced with PCP and coke back in high school. And before anyone asks "How do you know it was laced", Geech's best friend smoked the same dope with him, and then shortly afterwards was drug tested and tested positive for PCP and coke. Geech's best friend had not done any other substances without him.

The experience was profoundly negative, with Geech being completely blown out of his mind until he took a few more hits which caused a severe panic attack. Geech could not feel any part of his body, he was having auditory and visual hallucinations, felt like he couldn't breathe, and had a powerful sense of overwhelming doom and death. Geech had negative afteraffects that lasted several months.

Don't smoke laced weed....

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

Back in the jit days it was common practice to "flavor" some of the lower quality chronic that came in. It must be understood that local users were accustomed to a certain standard of quality (rich kid snobs.) The more concerned dealers would use the flavorings purchased in head shops, you know, the ones meant to be smoked. Some of the less discriminant ones used ozium and similar air purifying sprays which typically contained god knows what chemicals.

It produced a stickier and heavier product with a unique scent, that could be branded accordingly. I seem to remember quite a few fishy batches of "chocolate" weed that a certain friend always managed to have the exclusive deal on.

Personally, I've been dusted (PCP) before with weed, and it's not fun. It was one time when I was young. The only other times it has happened were with coke, which has a much higher rate of adulteration, (although mostly just baking soda, pcp has been encountered (in large dosage (alien government spy drones everywhere for days.))

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

Generally speaking I don't like my weed laced with anything... I think it's a dirty tactic and not at all what I want.

Some unscrupulous vendors are also lacing their weed with things like Windex, Febreeze, Baygone, and any other assortment of chemicals that I find nasty.

I don't even like it when it's laced with coke (we call'em killers here). I think that weed should be enjoyed on its lonesome, all natural, the way it was designed

However, to each their own.. The only mixing I might do is weed with a couple of beers. But that's it...

Re: What can cannabis be laced with?

I have never seen laced cannabis once. I would think the only time people would do something like that is to fuck with people or they do it themselves.
