what are the best movies to watch when tripping? ones that are made for watching on drugs or not

I think watching TV while tripping ruins your trip completely, go to the sea man and enjoy that instead

Im surprised nobody has mentioned "Oliver Stone's The Doors", oh man like Do_Japan said it's "made just for these purposes". Killer movie & the desert scene makes me want to eat every cactus I see =D

fear and loathing in las vegas - the whole movie is about a HUGE drug binge in LV, the first time SWIM saw it he was stoned out of his mind and immediately after coming down he had to watch it again to see if what he watched was real or if he imagined it, so you can guess what that movies like....


day of the dead - best romero movie made; first time SWIM saw it he was on lots of dxm and it rocked his world

I suspect that it would depend largely upon what you're using. If you have access to some really good weed, I'ld suggest watching the first 5-10 minutes of "Fantasia" then smoking until stoned and watch the rest. Maybe drink something a little before (considering, of course, that you're of legal drinking age). Be sure to have some tasty treats on hand for when the "munchies" kick-in. Enjoy.

so many good movies to watch while trippin!!

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Natural Born Killers, Requiem for a Dream, Arlington Road, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, pretty much any cartoon...

Some that are good while sober or on drugs (not necessarily trippin) are:
Spun, Wasted, Salton Sea, Trainspotting, Blow, Scarface, Half Baked, How High, Pulp Fiction, Traffic, Dazed and Confused, and any Cheech and Chong movie.

noone else has seen Donnie Darko? holy f**k....that movie's intense i've seen it like 20 times in the last 3 months since i bought it..

Waking Life's a f**king trip in itself... it's a movie about dreaming but the whole movie is basically one big mushroom trip

Why see movies when you can make your own?


Enjoy the trip, and enjoy what your brain is producing... you have a lot of time when not tripping to do normal things like watching a movie... go outside, use nature, enjoy the fresh air...

Spinal Tap is hilarious, anytime. Drugstore Cowboy is a fast paced flick, and Rush with Jennifer Jason Leigh is awesome, with a killer soundtrack. Oh, and something about a Yellow Submarine????

Waking Life - SWIM has got to watch it next time she's on shrooms - not directly about drugs - but when watching almost makes you feel like your tripping - totally awesome discusion of life - are you alive/are you dead. are you dreaming/are you awake. what is awareness. what is the purpose of language/colours/visualisation. Absolutely awesome film, i've neva seen anything like it before, very philosophical!

Basically a must see film!
