Nightmares After Taking Mushrooms

I think slim really fucked himself up this time... he did 10grams this past friday and has never been the same ever since...

The problem slim is having right now is nightmares and flashbacks
(though not sure if they are flashbacks) - but slim noticed a LOT of
nightmares after that trip (during that trip slim has experienced
"near-death" three times...).

Is it common to start having nightmares after such a high dose? Can it make slim go crazy like he already thinks he is going?

None of my exploits with psychedelics have ever had a profound impact on my dreams days afterwards. Perhaps your nightmares are from a different source. I find that the most common cause of nightmares is to be physically uncomfortable in bed i.e. too hot or too cold.

Yeah, I really have no idea... I've had some pretty intense experiences,
and they've never altered my dreams or anything.

Was it like a really bad trip? Or just very intense?

My trip was both VERY intense and bad at the same time... (well, that
only happened in the last 2 hours of the trip - it was going all good
up until that point).

I've also been noticing that when I look at objects now (a good four
days after the shrooms so far) - they sorta move sometimes...

I think I've gone a bit crazy from that experience - can that happen to
people? Can people lose their mind from intense trips? I honestly think
that these nightmares (for the fifth day in a row now) - are being
caused by my last shroom trip which went really bad (with all the near
death experiences and shit).

Your mind is probably pretty exhausted right now... especially if the trip
got kind of bad, and I could definitely see how that could give you
nightmares.

Everything should start to get back to normal soon - do something fun,
hang out with friends, and try to keep your mind off it... let us know
things go...

Hm... do you have a history of depression or something? Or take some
kind of medication?

If thats really bothering you, you can think of it in a different way. I heard that experiencing "near death" or feeling like you're dying is the ego being dismantled. When your ego dies you feel as if you are dying.

You should see that as a good thing.

I have the moving of objects whenever I want and this doesn't bother me. And about the nightmares and flashbacks, I think it will fade waway with time. This was just a too intense trip. Nothing bad has happened to you.

Just posting an update:

Those nightmares only happened 3 days in a row and then stopped. I was just guessing that I still had a bit of psilocybin left in my brain after that intense trip and it was having some sorta effect on my dreaming. So yeah, just like someone said... it all goes away with time.
