Sorry.... just counting down the days to my new job.

I've got a slight hydro problem. can't seem to shake it.

I've used buprenorphine before to stop, but I don't know if I can actually TOTALLY stop the bupe before the pre-employment screen.

I assume that it will show up as an opiate, but does anyone know for sure?? thanks, shem

Pre-employment screens typically only test for generic "opiates," i. e. morphine. That means that heroin will show up, but not buprenorphine.

If they would test for buprenorphine in a lab test, it definitely will show up. I consider this unlikely, however. Maybe somebody else has information about this.

There is now also a quick test for buprenorphine, but it is rarely applied.
In one study, dosages of 1 mg didn't yield a positive result at all after 24 hours. Dosages of 2 mg yielded positive results in 2 out of 6 persons, if I recall correctly.

I suppose it won't help you anymore, but let me know if you passed the screen.

CK: Please check the dates of posts/threads before responding. In the above instance the query was over 7 months old. Generally one can safely assume that such a query is no longer valid. And such a sleeping dog should be allowed to lie undisturbed until we bother to notice such and CLOSE D thread.
