Side effects - Methods of Preventing or Hiding Pupil Dialation

is there a way to prevent your pupils from becoming MASSIVE after eatin some mushies?... or is that unpreventable? thankyou

There's really no good way to prevent it, it's actually really not as
noticable as most people seem to think as long as you're acting fairly
normal. If you're going to be in public or something, just wear some
sunglasses or something.

There are a few prescription-type medications that are used to constrict
the pupils (pilocarpine being the most common) in glaucoma patients and
people who just had eye surgery. Don't recommend it though, as it
may be difficult to get ahold of, plus the reaction with the psiloc(yb)in
itself is unknown...

Opiates will constrict pupils, but that's really not recommended either
for obvious reasons.

I've also heard that you can actually learn to voluntarily control your
pupils' dialation/constriction (to a certain degree)...

I've once thought about using colored contacts since the pupil is already on the contact. Even if you got some novelty ones it would still cover it up. Never tried this, but I would love to some day. Also have no idea how well you would like a contact in your eye while your shrooming... Edited by: Amisten

I usually wear my contacts when I am tripping. I have fairly poor vision so with out them tripping is just not the same. I just cannot really make out the distortions and stuff like that from the blurryness.

Kratom and opiates both constrict the pupils. I think some stimulents can do this but I'm not sure.

They're really irritating. I wanted to leave mine in so I could see more clearly but after a couple hours they seemed to dry right out and start bugging me. Now I just bring along some eye drops or go sans contacts.Edited by: turfshark_40

Another thing is to be in a dark setting when you're in public, because this is when your pupils normally dilate.



The first time SWIM ate acid, he had to go home still tripping, and

Oh I didn't use colored ones, these were just regular contacts. I doubt colored contacts would do anything sincethey only tint the colored part of the eye. Otherwise people wearing them would appear to have no pupils at all.

People don't usually notice pupil dilation if they don't specially watch for it, because they can't know how dilated your pupil should be at this environment. These are things that are automatically made and they don't always concur with the judjement about the illumination of the place. With shroomz your eyes don't get crossed or nystagmused like on MDMA. And you look normally although the outer world doesn't seem the same way to you.

I'll never forget once when I was on shroomz tripping hard and looked my eyes at the mirror and suddenly everything disappeared, except my iris. It was huge, as big as I was and I saw my self on the other side of the big pupil pupil. And during this there was a strong roaring voice which empaled into my head. It was xonstantly repeating: "When she is so huge, things begin to get scaaaryyyyy!"

I wear contacts all the time when im mushing and have no problems, I use teh DAY AND NIGHT contacts u wear for 30 days straight even while u sleep then toss em :O

It's not possible. The pupil dillation is caused by most drugs which affect the noradrenaline-regulation and that of the hormon adrenaline within the sympaticus. I don't know if this is the case with psilocybin / mushrooms / others, but it's just one of the many effects which you cannot stop or prevent.

I´d say that sunglasses might cover pupil dilatation, but used in teh wrong place are also an indicator taht you are tripping. You cant´go into a candyshop at 11 pm, stare for 10 minutes like an idiot, and expect no one to make a match between your behaviour and your sunglasses. Ligtly colored glasses are much better, even non colored ones can hide some pupil dilatation.
Anyway SWIM was thinking why SWIM never mind about this, and it might be probably because SWIM has dark brown eyed. If you have very light color eyes it can be a problem, but if you are dark eyed, it doesn´t matter. SWIM has been discovered by girlfriend-mother-friends for his mouth gestures, speech or walking, but never for is pupils.

Though opiates seem to work against pupil dillation, I wouldn't recommend the use of a stimulant and an opium product.

people might not notice. if you in a dim place..... or dinking or anything like that it would be normal for your pupils to be dilated... maybe not as much as they will be on shrooms but stil dilated,.......

I have brown eyes so I am one of the lucky ones that pupil dilation isn't noticed on but my guess is that opaque, colored lenses is your best bet. Your pupils CAN'T get any bigger than the uncolored area of the lens, so your eyes won't look like you're tripping anyway. However, your vision will be very blurred and affected by the color of the lenses, but that will be a little bit trippy too I guess

Swim has done a good amount of acid and has learned that his pupils don't go back to normal until he wakes up the next day. Swim has never done shrooms before and is planning on taking an 8th later this week. He is wondering how soon do peoples pupils go back to normal when taking shrooms and if there is a way to make them look normal. Thanks in advance for any replies. Swim is just wants to know how much time he needs before he goes him that night.

The trip is usually done and SWIY's pupils should be back to normal after 5-8 hours from SWIMS experiences with an 8th.

Pupils should constrict back to nearly their normal size by the time one has come down, so usually after approximately five hours. Opioids cause miosis (pupil constriction) - taking a small quantity of codeine or another opioid may help reduce dilation, although it is not advisable.
